I modified this stand to attach to my desk. I have a rode podmic XLR but it was too heavy (with my extension Poles) for the pivot to hold. So what I did was unscrew the pivot knob, take out the bottom pole and rubber pads, then used pliers to squish the metal prongs together to make it tighter. Then I re installed it. It did make it much tighter but still not tight enough for my use case. You can also use a counter weight which will help. But what I had to do was drill a hole all the way through the pivot plates and put a pin in it to keep it from sagging. You could also drill multiple holes for multiple different positions. My main complaint is the small diameter extension pole on the T pivot. It's much too weak and will bend easily for anything over 2lbs. I really like the all metal base, though the legs are not stable for full extension. You will need to weight it down. Overall I for the price of $25 I would recommend it, especially if you plan to modify it like I did. There are many of these stands on Amazon and they are mostly all the same from the same manufacturer but with minor differences. Most have a plastic or thin metal base but this one has a cast aluminum alloy base. Also it has knobs instead of Clamp things to tight the Poles which I prefer.

This stand is very sturdy and not cheaply made. It’s great for its value and has all the options that you need. It fits everywhere and hasn’t lost its grip. The base is wide for good stability. It’s the perfect size and works great for anything that you need it for. It’s gets very small so it’s easily put away in its bag. It’s super light too. Worth every penny.

I bought this mic stand after my old budget one fell apart, and it’s a fantastic upgrade! It’s sturdy and well-built, and perfect for my few needs. I primarily use it to hold my Pixel phone for playing guitar and singing, and when both singing and playing guitar in Rock Band 4.While I don’t use it professionally, it does the job for casual use. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable mic stand for everyday use.

Very easy to assemble. It's a base, three tubes that fit into each other and into the base, the boom sits on top of that and the goose neck on top of that. You can take it apart for travel without taking it completely apart. Just remove the goose neck, the boom, then pull all of the tubes out of the base and fold the base. The phone/tablet adapter holds a phone on one side and a tablet on the other.Mine came with only one microphone cable clip although three are pictured. Not a deal breaker. This is not a heavy duty stand and would not stand up to rigorous treatment, but for a home rehearsal or podcasting space it's a good deal for the price.
