This little item is the perfect way to top warm/hot dishes with hard cheese. The ribbons are thin enough that the heat of the food can partially melt the cheese. Grater is wonderfully sharp so it makes quick work of topping your dishes with just the right amount of cheese.

This grater is amazing in terms of manageability, ease of use and quality craftsmanship. My fiancee' uses this as often as he can in his restaurant and has absolutely no complaints. The grater is easy to clean and because of its' sleek design, stores without taking up excessive space.

I sent this back. The connection between the metal and plastic is very cheap. It made keeping it clean between the cracks hard. I don't recommend this. Spend the extra and get the gourmet ones. Too bad. I though Microplane was finally making quality for the masses.

This is an awesome microplane. The ribbon blades mean slicing items like garlic and ginger is a breeze. Cleaning is easy too. Best microplane I’ve used.
