Solid little microscope. It’s not professional level but if you are looking for budget model that will be fun to either play or teach with it’s a great option.

I bought this for my grandson and he was overjoyed. I do believe more indepth instructions on operation would make this microscope better received.

The carrying case for this microscope is sturdy and perfectly fitted to all of the parts. You can easily find everything you need and it only takes 5 minutes to have everything set up and ready to go for use. The set includes a clear and easy-to-follow instruction booklet. The microscope can be powered both by batteries and by the included power cord. Keep in mind that the cord is very short. I have some lamps with outlets built in, so it worked perfectly to use the cord, but you may need to use batteries if you don't have an outlet close by.The microscope is very easy to adjust and use. The picture is clear and the added camera attachment is a fantastic bonus. It allows you to easily photograph and compare what you are looking at inside of the microscope. The only flaw is with the slides themselves. The first two photos with the black and red specimens are from the provided slides. All of the specimens are attached to the slide with clear stickers and they are riddled with air bubbles. You can see all of the squiggly lines in those slides which are the bubbles. Fortunately, I have a separate set of microscope slides that are of better quality. That is the final slide you see in my pictures. This is the perfect microscope for a home school setup as long as you invest in some good slides to accompany it.

This is a decent beginner microscope, especially for kids who are showing an interest in biology/microscopy or for those who just want to play around with a microscope but don’t want to spend too much on a scope. The optics are of course not the greatest, especially at higher magnification. You will notice some chromatic aberration and a a little spherical aberration around the edges of the field of view. Still the aberrations should be good enough for a novice microscopist. The microscope comes in a nice carrying case that allows you to keep it all together. It includes the microscope with 3 objectives (4x, 10x and 40x), eyepiece lenses including a regular 10x and a 2x and 25x magnifier. Unfortunately for me the 25x eye piece was stuck in its case and I couldn’t take it out.The microscope has two light sources, one transmitted and one for reflected light. The reflected works great for thicker samples such as rocks or larger samples. There is a slide clamp and knobs to move around the slide more precisely. However I did find that range of the slide mount was a little restrictive and there were some parts of the slide I couldn’t look into due to this limitation. It also comes with a set of premade slide which honestly aren’t the best prepared and don’t show a lot of interesting features due to the mounting media used. It does come with a set of empty slides so you can make your own right away though no cover slips. The phone mount works decent. You can’t use both the eyepiece and the camera mount as the same time as there is only one eye piece. The mount allows you to more easily aline your phone camera with the eyepiece and lock into place to take pictures of your samples. Overall it works pretty decently.Overall I am happy with this scope but just a couple of issues keeps me from giving it 5 stars.

This isn't the most robust microscope (mostly the eyepieces that are not a super tight fit) around so your child would have to be old enough that you can show them how to take care of it so it can last. The main body of the microscope seems solid and well made. So maybe for kids aged 6-7 and up.It has 2 different light sources so you can look through something (slides that are included) and also look at the surface of something solid. A wide magnification range as well from 40X to 2000X. Having the phone holder is a nice bonus, so if the kids find something cool they want to take a photo of, they can. Focus on the higher magnification levels is a bit tough but with some practice, it does ok.Overall a very nice starter package at a good value for your budding scientist.

This Fitense microscope turned out to be a great find for our family, offering a hands-on way to explore everything from plant cells to everyday textures. We've had a blast switching between the magnification settings; the range from 40X up to 2000X brings an impressive level of detail. The dual LED lighting setup is really helpful - top light for solid objects and bottom light for slides - making each session a little different and adding flexibility to what we can observe. The 5-color filter wheel is a fun addition, especially when my kids want to play around with colors on their specimens. I also liked the phone holder, which made capturing snapshots of our finds super simple. One small improvement would be a more durable storage bag, as it feels a bit flimsy with all the slides and pieces. For anyone considering this as a gift or an educational tool, I'd say it's a great way to spark curiosity and make science truly interactive.
