How to choose a suitable replacement ring for your microwave oven?
If the old ring is damaged

- Obtain correct ring data through microwave brand service
Obtain ring data by measuring glass plates
As shown in the left image
1. Measure the outer diameter D of the smooth ring on the glass disc
2. Measure the inner diameter d of the smooth ring of the glass disc
If D>237mm and d<208mm, then our 8.7-inch ring can meet your needs
If the old ring is still relatively intact
Measure the the old ring
- Measure the inner diameter of the old ring
- Measure the outer diameter of the old ring
- Measure the maximum outside diameter (with the wheel) of the old ring
- Measure the wheel height of the old ring

- Inner Diamater 8.2" / 208mm
- Outer Diamater 8.7" / 221mm
- Maximum Outside Diameter (with the wheel): 9.3" / 237mm
- wheel height: 15mm

We have an inexpensive microwave. The platter rotation has always been a bit hurky-jerky. Last week the microwave began to screech due to problems with the ring. I found this item which has the proper height wheels. I popped the ring into our microwave and the rotation is better than ever. A nice surprise.

I bought this as a "who knows maybe it will help" sort of thing and didn't have particularly high expectations, as it was not the same diameter as the ring I was trying to replace - close, but not exact. Also, this didn't cost much at all, so I figured it was worth a shot and might still be better than the awful clunking ring I had. Well, not surprisingly it turned out to be a wrong size and creates some balance issues with the glass plate, however it does stop the clunking noise of the old ring and is OK for a temporary fix, while I wait for the correct replacement part that I had to look everywhere for. This ring was only a few bucks and is something of a "tide over" while I looked for a permanent solution. While I liked the price of this ring, if it had been the right one for my microwave, I would have been disappointed in how cheap and flimsy it is. Doesn't seem like it would last and work long, even if it was correct for my microwave. Turns out that the one I actually need is ridiculously expensive at 40 some dollars, but it is a sturdier ring. So this one was priced OK, but not worth what it actually is. It might be worth it if you are looking for something temporary or willing to continue to replace often, but if you want a good fix, even for a microwave that this is the correct size for, this isn't it.

It did not fit. Size was incorrect. Even done the research to make sure I got the correct one compared to what the microwave website said to get.

So far is fitting my Panasonic NN-SU65LB microwave just fine. Size seems accurate. Material is a bit harder than the original version.One arrived broken. Weird as it was just one clean split. I've used crazy glue to fix but may just through that one out.
