It's a brass sweat valve and there's not a lot to say about that. Sweated both ends easily with usual proper preparation, and the hand wheel is very comfortable. I did have to tighten down the upper body - below the packing nut - because it came partially loosened with the gasket showing, but that could have happened in transit and is no biggy.

Purchased these to control flow in a recirc line. It turns out these valves have a rubber/elastomer seat which would be chewed up in no time, so I had to return them. I cant give them 1 star because you could use them as a valve, but they would not last for very long in service, so I had to source globe valves with a hard seat. IT would be helpful if this was described in the product description

It was difficult to locate a lead-free true globe valve. I am using this to adjust the flow rate into a domestic hot water tempering valve where the cold supply needs to be reduced and a globe valve is the recommended type of valve for continuous operation in a partially open situation.The shipping was quick, price was reasonable and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. Thank you!
