I purchased 3 for my 3 adopted kitties. I find overall these are good for the money. My only concern is the plastic inserts that hold the metal gate after a week of opening and closing they are getting weak. I would like to keep the 3 since everyone is happy. Please send new inserts if possible. Thank you

This’ll teach me to buy a pet carrier online. That was dumb. Never again. If you buy this product, at best you can have the fun of ordering parts that were either a) missing upon arrival or b) meant to replace dangerously defective components (see the picture portraying the loose bar on the top door). At worst, you can have the ultimate joy of almost losing your pet, because this product is so shoddily put together that they can bash the door right out and escape from their carrier! :DThat was the abridged version. For the full version of my nightmare experience, pull up a comfy chair, get a snack, and proceed below! One of the four door handles was missing, and the ordered part would not come in time for my kitty’s vet appointment. I had no other carriers available, so I had to hold my breath and hope to GOD that the damn door would not open and let my cat out. There is a six hour time difference between where I live and the main facility that sells these carriers, so that meant that I had to wait until 3 AM my time before I could place a call, where I talked to a pretty unfriendly and curt female operator who couldn’t have cared less about the fact that the part was missing, or for the risk that its absence posed to my kitty at all. Whatever, I thought, at least I got the missing part in the mail. When I put the carrier together, I noticed that one of the bars on the grill of the top door was ajar and poking upwards. I wrapped electrical tape around it and forgot to order a replacement grill upon my first call. I call the same number again and this time got a much friendlier, more helpful and concerned representative who requested that I send a picture of the defective part as proof, among other information. Okay, fine, got that done.Keep in mind that it is weeks before I get everything I need to make a complete, functional (HA!) carrier. The problem is, it was hell to assemble all of the parts onto the top grill in the first place, such as the handle and the two latches, because I discovered that the space between the bars on the grill is NARROWER at one end than the other (quality control issue, check). I also have carpal tunnel in both hands, so that added to the fun. Now I have a vet appointment for my other kitty, and the night before, I take off the top door and attempt to take off the handle and latches from the defective grill. No can do, it was tightly on there, and its fate is sealed. No worries, the electrical tape is still holding, so I figure that’s a minor problem. Here is the finale, the coup de grace you’ve all been waiting for. I put my kitty in the carrier for his appointment and test the door to make sure it is securely fastened and will not open. I take the carrier out of the door and begin the descent down the 15 steps. On the very first step, my kitty head-butts the front of the cage, sending the ENTIRE DOOR flying off down the stairs! He launches himself out of the carrier and proceeds to hurtle at lightning speed down the stairs, and is only stopped when my mom (GO MOM!) expertly grabs him at the bottom step. The vet visit is ruined, and because I am now late I have a strike against me according to my vet’s late cancellation policy. Three strikes and I’m out, which means that I can no longer make appointments and will have to pay $130 in order to make emergency visits. But hey, that’s a TINY price to pay when you consider that a) I came REALLY close to losing my kitty, and b) in the mad scramble to retrieve my kitty, I could have fallen down the stairs and my mom could’ve also been seriously injured.Upon returning to the house in complete and utter defeat, I saw that the bottom latch on the lower right end of the door was hanging down loosely. I slap it back up. The picture where you see the latch flush to the bottom is how it’s supposed to look, while the other picture is how I found it.If your hobby is wasting $33.50 and then waiting until 3 am to call customer service in order to patiently and kindly talk to a crabby representative to order parts only to almost not only LOSE your cat but also potentially fall down the stairs, thereby rendering all of your efforts to salvage this shoddy piece of trash a laughable, pathetic, and most of all FUTILE endeavor, then by all means, go ahead and have fun!

After ordering, and seeing some major concerns about the carrier falling apart, was concerned during the assembly. However, it did go together as expected and there are two holes at the back corners of the carrier, I inserted a machine screw and bolt in each hole, tightened for extra security. At this time, very pleased with the size of the carrier and hope it does the job of holding one cat to and from vet trips.

I bought this carrier to bring home my newly adopted rabbit. It definitely served its purpose for me, but there was also a pretty significant error somewhere on the company's end that knocks a couple stars off and might be relevant to other people (particularly if you care about the top-loading door. if that's why you're grabbing this carrier, maybe get a different one, because the top door is apparently not always usable.)The plastic knobs they give you to lock the top-loading door simply don't fit into the metal grate they give you. The grate that comes in the box is not the same grate that's in the directions pamphlet, and the pieces just literally don't fit together. Even asking the strongest member of my family, none of us could get those stupid plastic knobs in there, even with heavy duty pliers. I ultimately just zip-tied it shut in order to make the carrier still usable, but I can't use the top door, ever, unless I plan to cut and re-zip-tie it every time.So if you're looking for just a super basic cheap carrier to bring a small animal from point A to point B, and you don't mind only using the front door, this thing is fine. If you need to use the top-loading door for any reason, steer clear of this one probably.

This carrier is used for my cat and I to get around in the car for Vet appointments, spa appointments or just take a ride to see the sights. It is well built and intuitive in putting together. Thanks for checking .

We bought the crate for a trip. The ratings were pretty good and the price was good. However, it was very diffiicult to assemble, especially the top section. Once we finally got it assembled the top part with handle would not stay on. Since we didn't need the top to open we ended up zip tying it on. The front door kept coming off since the bottom hinge knobs would not stay on. It was a pain. I think it will be ok at home for occasional indoor use. I would not purchase again.

This crate is ridiculously hard to put together and the instructions don’t even match the crate you receive nor do they make a lot of sense. I’ve bought many crates over the years and never have I needed tools and all of my strength to put together a cat crate. Once it’s together yeah, it’s a nice sturdy crate, but putting it together was not worth it. It also seems to be missing two and pieces to secure the top and bottom together. All together it took me and my boyfriend 20 minutes to put it together.

The plastic bolts and latches for the doors came loose inside the Amazon box and one of the plastic bolts for the door was missing. There was supposed to be 4 but had only 3. The overall quality is not great, the plastic is thin.

Not very Happy with this item as the Door Locks will not hold the Door closed .They snap in as a push fitting that holds the hinges of the door and slide out and fall down causing the door to fall and opens. IT LOOKS AS IF WHEN YOU LOCK THE DOOR SHUT IT PULLS THE HING PINS OUT allowing the door to fall and open.Other then that it is very well built but not usable if door will not stay locked.Well send back if I can not find another way to hold Door Closed and stay locked

I like that there are top and side doors - that’s good for an anxious kitty that does not want to get in.

I bought this for my kitty so she’d have something bigger than what she came home in 3 yrs ago and for taking her to the vet. It’s cheaply made the door always comes off. It does have a convenient top load though making it easier to get her in it. I wouldn’t recommend it just my opinion though
