As someone that has collected a plethora of pins over the years that I constantly like to swap on my vest, storing them in a big bin just wasn't working anymore. I've tried a few different pin display books and none of them really did the trick.I saw this one, and being different than all the others I thought I'd give it a try. This is hands down the best book I've found, in theory anyway. In practice, once you start filling up the pages with pins it becomes very bulky and flimsy. The fabric used is thin enough that all of the pin backs stay in place, but the flip side of that is that the pages become very flimsy once full.If you fill all of the included pages, the book doesn't close properly and I've had to add a larger elastic strap to keep the book closed. If the pages were a bit thicker in the supports, toss in some spacers between the pages, and add a wider cover, this would be the perfect 5star pin display book.

My first two photos are sort of a before and after. The first page....and then the first page after I filled the rest of the book. If the binder ring were bigger, I think this product would be just about perfect. I was skeptical about how well an enamel pin display book would work realistically, but I have to admit, it turned out better than I was expecting. The felt pages are actually really sturdy, even with a page full of large, heavy pins. They're not too thick, but they do seem like they've been starched. The pin backs stay on with no problem, unlike some ita bags I've had in the past.I certainly wouldn't reccomend putting pins on both sides of the felt like in the product photos. For one, it would be a challenge not to end up sticking the post on one pin into the back of another. But even if you managed to line the backs up opposite each other, the metal faces of the pins would scratch each other. On the scratching note, I made sure that all the pins had rubber backings, to ensure that no metal butterfly clasps would scratch the fronts of the pins on the next page. If you only have metal pin backs, I would definitely recommend a protective layer between each felt sheet, or skipping every other sheet entirely. (Plus is you skip every other sheet, it would definitely cut down on the bulk). In terms of size and bulk, the product photos don't really give you an accurate idea of what it'll look like when you fill it whatsoever. There is a video included in the product images though that is spot on, though mine came with the pages already in the rings of the binder. As big as this gets, I almost want to get a second binder and just save the pages for if these wear out. The weight of the pins does seam like it might cause the hole punches to tear after time, since they're punched pretty close to the edge of the sheets.A more solid cover would be nice, but wouldn't be able to accommodate the swell of a full binder, so I think the felt cover was a good choice on their end. Display wise, this is better for me than them sitting in a box, though not as satisfying as being able to display them on cork boards on the wall for all to see.Overall, I'm really pleased with this little book though, as it holds twice as many pins as I originally estimated!

Pros:1. Thick felt pages2. Large rings which enable the book to open easily even when full.3. Lightweight when empty.4. Elastic closure.Cons:1. The cover is made of the same material as the pages. The whole thing feels cheap in your hand and has no support--just feels floppy and flimsy.2. I had to bend a page to add some buttons, and the felt retained the crease.3. I don't think you can place items on both sides of the pages. It would be very unattractive to have pin backs interspersed with pin fronts.4. My biggest concern is the fact that there's nothing to keep the pin backs from scratching the pins on the next page. I placed a page of 6-hole journal paper in between.

I didn’t know what to do with all of our Disney pins and I didn’t just want them in a baggie. This is a perfect way to store them and be able to admire them all.

I have a collection of pins over 30+ years from one organization. I've always just put them in a drawer and I would have liked to have a way to look at them. This display book allows me to organize all those pins plus all the other ones I have collected over the years. The display book has 8 felt pages plus the cover is one continuous piece of felt which is folded over to create the front and back covers. There is a large elastic band to keep the book closed as you fill the book up. It's the type of band that could be stretched too much and lose its elasticity but as long as it is handled with care, it should be fine. I used only one side of a page, otherwise you would have pin backs mixed in with pin fronts - not exactly a pleasing display. I bring this up because the picture with the description inimates pins are attached on both sides of the pages. If you have any delicate pins or of real importance, I would put something - paper or cloth - between pages because there is an outside chance the pin backs could damage the next page's pin fronts. Just an idea. Enjoy looking at your pin collection and look forward to adding to your collection.

It is effective but cheap, so if you want to secure pins for a trip, this may be useful(?). With all honesty, I wouldn't recommend this and prefer to travel with pins secured in bags or containers. The book consists of o-ring clips and felt pages. I could make the same thing myself with ~$5 USD and 20 minutes. If you're not crafty or don't want to spend the time and energy, this is sufficient for a portable storage solution.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She has a ton of pins, and I thought this was a great way for her to organize them. I like that the entire book is made of the same felt material, giving extra room to put pins on the outside as well. The clasp does a decent job of keeping it closed. But it works great for someone with a lot of pins
