Love the heavy duty connection! I'm an experienced climber and find the rope easy enough to knot on the free end and feel it give me lots of options this way. It's highly reflective and doesn't catch on woody weeds on hikes. I haven't taken it on the water yet but am looking forward to it.

I have a 100 lb Cane Corso puppy that was a rescue. Using this lead for recall training. My dog gets the "zummies" and runs circle in the park to burn energy. Several times, he almost dislocated by shoulder but the line did not break. I had concern about the strength of the clasp for a dog this size but it is holding up.My dog has also bitten and tried to chew the line and it has not frayed. One additional item that would be great would be a small handle of some sort but its is simple enough to tie a loop on one end to slide your hand through.

I do not leave reviews but after seeing someone post about this Γ’β¬ΛropeΓ’β¬β’ not having a handle I realize maybe a dog trainer that uses this lead every day should evaluate it:1. This lead is DURABLE.. I bought it 2 years ago and have dragged it through mud, water, twigs, wrapped around tire wheels, and whipped around trees - tethered to dogs of all sizes from European Dobermans to 12 week old puppies.2. The Γ’β¬Λno handleΓ’β¬β’ is a PLUS especially for trails or brush.. the point of the lead is off leash training which means you do not tether or hold it to you; a looped end would get caught rather than the lead being allowed to pull freely behind the dog.3. This lead does not tangle easily and if it does it is very easy to untangle. I personally tend to step on it when it gets to about 20 feet away from me if the dog does not recall. My lead never gets the opportunity to pull through my hands. It does float and easy to find. Most dogs forget they have a lead on which is the point Γ°ΕΈΛβ°

This is an absolutely wonderful training checkline. It has been dragged by my puppy for miles so far and is holding up wonderfully. I love that it doesnΓ’β¬β’t have a loop at the end so it doesnΓ’β¬β’t get caught on anything. I wish they made a 50ft. I bought that size from another manufacturer and it tangles very easy when this does not. Perfect size rope as well. When this one dies I will definitely get another. But IΓ’β¬β’m sure that will be awhile.

The product itself is good quality- no issues with craftsmanship, however if you're intending to work your dog on a check cord to teach them to be steady in a command, prepare for the worst rope burn of your life.My springer bolted after the pigeon. I attempted to refrain him after he ignored his hup command. He didn't even feel me trying to stop him as the cord burned through my hand leaving me with the most painful rope burn.

I feel that this rope is outstanding for the purpose that I use it. I have a 1 year old short haired border collie who loves to try to catch the soft Frisbee that I got him. However, the park is very strict about all dogs staying on their leash while out for a walk in the park or it's periphery. Having tried several leashes linked together in order to allow him some running room...we always end up tangled up in them, one of us getting very close to having some type of rope burn injury...or worse...but then I discovered this leash. While it doesn't have a loop on it for the "handle"...it is incredibly light weight and allows him to run and run as far as I can toss the Frisbee and still allows me to catch him before he realizes he is running free without remaining in my control. It works GREAT!!

I use this for my Yorkshire Terrior so he can be off his lease and play outdoors. Light enough for him to run around, but very strong. I leave the cord staked outside when my dog is not one it. It has held up well even out in the weather. The only thing I have noticed is slight fading otherwise it has held up perfectly.

Very sturdy and so far my dog has not damaged it at all. She would chew other leads very quickly so they needed replacement. Thick rope makes it comfortable to grip even if she pulls and very sturdy clasp.

Gets wet though doesnt fully absorb water nor does it get heavy. Taught my hunting dog to retrive in water with this as it has no handle and is not heavy therefor very safe and useful.

Love the long line. Its light duty, no loop on the end so if i drop it it will not get hooked on anything and its easy to knot a handle i to the end if need be!

Nothing not to like about this, it would be nice if it stayed cleaner but it's dragging in the dirt so that will never happen. But, well done mighty paws.
