We are building out a theater room and need a lot of measurements. Unfortunately I am not able to be there the whole time so we purchased this so only one person is needed to do measurements. This is very user friendly and decently accurate. Our measurements are for estimates on where we want to put our walls, doors, and furniture. You simply stand where you think would be best and push the button and point the laser at the wall. It reads the distance immediately and allows you to sketch out your plans on paper or tape out the room. Feels sturdy in your hand and dont think it would break if dropped. Pricey but worth the hassle of using two people for measurements.

The Mileseey XTape1 is a glorified sharper image gadget and not a particularly useful tool. First the construction is poorly made with a large gap between the laser module and the tape body. The tape is very flimsy and gets stuck often. The menu was clearly made by a Chinese company because it is near impossible to navigate or find what you are looking for.For the absurd price, I would expect everything to work flawlessly out of the box. However bugs define this tool. It frequently doesn’t show anything or randomly switches mode and turns the laser on. The tape itself is also only 12 feet long with isn’t even enough to measure two sheets of plywoodThe app it connects to is a third party smart home app and clearly offers no functional use cases or ways to update the device itself.Very hard to find and measurements saved and it appears to be inaccurate when compared to my Stanley and Milwaukee tape measure. I got for a gift but will be returning. Cant belive it costs almost $400 as this is a $40 gadget toy.

My boyfriend works for a granite company that does a lot of installations for big companies, so precision is extremely important. I ordered this just in time to give it to him for Christmas and he had the face of a child with a new toy when I gave it to him. He is always so happy to be able to use it - his first project was closet shelving for me. I really couldn't tell you about all the features it has but I know he has used it for some very precise measurements as well as used the laser level quite often. He is very happy with it, so it is boyfriend approved.

this measuring tape/all-in-one/whatever is very...something. it tries to be a jack of all, but instead, it fails at being easy to use, it's functionality is questionable, and it's built like a cheap tool from a discount chain, rather than the costly tool that it is. i will say, its measurements seem to be accurate when compared to old fashioned measuring devices, and it's not crazy heavy, so maybe ok for quick pocket pull swag measurements?

I’ve been trying to use this on and off for 3 weeks and I finally gave up.The pros:I like the combination of tape and laser. This might be specific to how I work but I often go between my Leica Disto and my tape measure so having both in one made sense.The cons:- It’s really hard to get to know how to use it. There is a huge manual that it comes with. I don’t know why it’s so complicated to do simple functions- it’s NOT durable or well built. For $300 it’s not ok for the rubber to peel off the case when I open the USB cover. The laser is attached onto the rest of the body in a way that’s loose and feels flimsy to hold- Accuracy can be trusted to 1/16 as it’s very hard to tell where the device actually measures from. The entire front is obstructed by the laser so I ended up eyeballing the rest- Battery feels poor. It lasts for less than my work day (maybe 6h ?) I don’t know if that’s expected but it feels very littleI really wish the manufacturer addresses these issues cause I really wanted this to work but it’s far from that.

First off, let me be clear - I’ve been working with tools for the better part of 30 years, both professionally and around the home. I have to say that I bit the bullet to try this out and what a disappointment it was. From the moment is started using it, it was clear how poorly made and flimsy this toy is.I spent 30 minutes trying to read the manual and got lost and the non existent support team (got a message in Chinese sent back so not sure what’s going on there) was unhelpful too.The tool is not clear how to use, the screen flashes at random times and modes come on and off randomly. I’m not sure how I can actually use it to measure when it’s randomly shows measurements form different locations. Good luck trying to view any saved measurements as they get lost in a buggy menu. So often in fact that I needed to restart the tool every 10 minutes.Save your money and buy a real tape measure as this one isn’t it

So, this is almost overkill for a tape measure. It is so jam packed with features and the manual is huge! Definitely can't just open this and go to town. You've got to study and learn how to use it. I wish it was a bit more user friendly but I understand why it can't be. It came with a beautiful case to store it in which is nice. But for this price? I'm not sure. We needed it for a quick job and it was just too complicated right out of the gate to use. Maybe they should include an infographic type insert that shows you all the basic ways to use the thing. Seems really solid and well made though, so I'll definitely give it another go once I have time to study the novel it came with.
