Not sure if it can take 50,000 pounds, but it easily handled a12,000 pound-rated kernmantle rope. The rope frayed and eventually broke. Used this pulley again and again with not problems. Although it’s a little on the heavy side, it’s well worth the added rating, thus the safety factor…. 3 to 1, or even 4 to 1. This pulley worked like a charm even in fridged temps too. I would recommend it.

I have no way to really test this to see if it can actually handle 55,000 pounds. However, it has no problems with helping to take down trees. My ropes will break before this thing does. Indeed the inner edge of the pulley is a hard angle and not smoothed down (see photo). This won't really be an issue unless your rope is close to 0.63".My only complaint is that whoever finished the edges of my block needs to go back to school. It looks like it was their first time grinding and is terrible. I'm taking off a star for this because in the product photos it looks great and I expect a clean and professional finish (unlike mine).I took some measurements (and a photo next to a size 9 shoe for scale).Weight: 6lb 12ozPulley - inner width (to the hard edge): 16mm (0.63") Outer width: 18mm (0.708")If you need a snatch block that can handle pretty much everything you pull at it then this will be a good option.

I had one small issue with one of the two I bought, it was a simple fix.. the issue was the pait on the unit had a small run and the fitment of the two sides was a little stiff, worked them back and fourth and some minor sanding on the paint "run" droplet, after that it works great, the units work well and built well too minus the one drop of paint that was on the inside face of one the sides, Ive used them in a compound and redirect configureation no issues. pleased with the order.

This thing is not going to break, and its greaseable, so it should last forever.

They left a sharp corner on the edge of the pulley groove. It will damage or cut your rope. It is unusable on polymer ropes without fixing the pulleys, but doing so will ruin the plating causing it to rust.It also lists the groove as 0.7 inches. It isn't and measures 0.625. I don't understand why vendors don't understand why this dimension is important as to not measure the meaningless distance between the frame. We need to know what size rope it can handle...Otherwise they are pretty nice. A minor change would make these great.

I recently received my new "MILINI Snatch Block, 55,000 lbs (25T) Strength Recovery Off-Road Heavy Duty Winches Pulley for Synthetic Rope or Steel Cable, Universal Tackle Block for Truck, Tractor, ATV & UTV (Black)"Out of the box, good grief this is heavy! So, the product is well assembled and includes a grease fitting. The finish is good and I did not observe any pitting or rusting nor any sharp edges. The one con I found is that the wheel dimension is smaller than advertised, so keep that in mind when buying.
