Receiver Installing Batteries:
The remote receiver uses four (4) “AA”- size batteries. To install batteries,Please purchase the batteries.
1. Open the battery door by pressing the two tabs located on the door.
2.Install the batteries as indicated in the receiver cover.
3. Close the battery door until the door tab snaps in place.
4. To install the receiver into a wall junction box, snap wall cover plate to the receiver and install the receiver with the screws provided to the junction box.
5.The batteries should be replaced at least once every 6 months or when the battery indicator flashes.
Transmitter:
- The RCST Remote Control has two (2) operating modes: Manual and Thermostatic.
- The control AUTO system can be set to temperature ranges between 45°F and 90°F.
- The transmitter will operate the remote receiver from 1foot to a maximum of 30 feet.
- The distance is reduced when batteries are low or when the receiver is inside a metal enclosure.
Wall Cover Plate-Black & White，wall clip
The gas fireplace remote is equipped with black and white covers, making the receiver more suitable for your furniture environment.

We put a gas fireplace in our home about 15 years ago. It came with a remote which stopped working after a couple years so we just turned our fireplace on and off by sticking our hand in there and manually flipping the switch. In the last five years, I’ve started having a company come out every fall to clean my fireplace. They take all of the logs out, clean and sweep everything inside, clean off the logs and replace them and replace the fabric material that resembles embers. I asked how much it would cost to have them replace my remote and it was ridiculous… Something like $200. I opted not to do that because I’m a thrifty person and would rather get up and turn it on manually than to spend that kind of money. Every year, when they come out, I mention this and they always quote me a high price to replace the remote, but this year I was lucky enough to get a service guy who told me that I could just buy one of these remotes on Amazon. In fact, he even helped me look up the correct one to purchase and told me how to connect it, which was super easy… Just unplugged the old one and plugged in the new one. So, now I have a functioning remote for my fireplace which is absolutely identical to the one that stopped working. Love it. It has the option of automatically turning on and off depending on the temperature control that you set it to. I do not use that feature because it scares me to think of my fireplace turning on if I am not at home. Anyway, thank goodness for an honest repair man. I would suggest if you don’t know which type of remote to get, just google the make and model of your fireplace to find the remote, and then get onto Amazon and search that item. Easy – breezy.

Easy to set up. Even with the receiver switch behind the fireplace panel, the controller works from anywhere in the room. Nice feel to the controller. The on/off/auto is straight forward.
