You really have to tighten the NPT threads hard, so keep it from leaking. I had to clamp the wrench flats of my air hose whip in a vise because a wrench would round off the flats. And I had to use a syringe to fill the oiler because air inside is pushed out while filling. You cannot easily pour oil from a bottle.

I'm not a professional and I don't turn a wrench for a living. I have a 21 gallon, 2.5 HP, 125 psi Central Pneumatic compressor from Harbor Freight. I mainly use my tools for routine maintenance on my cars and yard equipment. My son and his friends use them on their cars as well. I just couldn't see buying a dedicated FRL system for my compressor based on occasional use and I decided to go with this. I've had this for about a month now and it does the job without any issues. As you can see from the photo, I placed quick connect fittings and used Teflon tape on here so I could switch between tools. The fitting and coupler are from a Milton S-217 V-Style set. The oil reservoir is filled by removing the screw and filling through a small hole. I have an oil can that I previously purchased on Amazon (PROLUBE 23-Ounce (700 ml) Heavy Duty Pistol Type Oiler) that is able to fill this without spilling oil all over the place. If you're looking for something cheaper to use to fill the reservoir, I would suggest getting a plastic syringe from a pharmacy, the kind that are sold as dental irrigation syringes or used to give kids liquid medicine. I use Marvel Mystery Oil for lubrication. The operation is flawless and doesn't seem to restrict the air flow. I've used this mainly on a Matco MT1712 1/2" Impact Gun as well as an air hammer and air chisel. This thing appears to be able to take a beating.

This does do a good job of lubricating a tool. But it leaks if the fill screw is pointed down while in storage. Get a syringe of some sort to fill this item. Like an oral irrigating syringe.

When it's hooked up to air pressure it's fine, but whenever you disconnect it it leaks excessively. At least its entire contents inside of 20 minutes of being disconnected from its Air Supply.

Added this oiler to a whip to allow use as oiler for multiple tools.
