This is a very nice quick disconnect. It shoots the tool off the end quickly without losing much air. Even if you don't use the high flow connectors this is a nice female end.The real benefit of this is that you can use the normal flow and the high flow ends and switch back and forth. Some tools such as an impact wrench benefit from the high flow connector more than others. (paint sprayers might benefit as well) Milton makes great quality products that as far as I can tell haven't changed much over time. Quality brass with strong springs.Install it with teflon tape to make sure you don't have a leak. Put the tape on in the right direction so that screwing it on won't undo the tape. Brass is really the way to go if you don't like leaks and Milton is a great brand for compressor accessories.

I have been using couplers from various suppliers, and lots of ones from the discount tool store. However, the ones on the end of my main air hoses tend to see allot of use, and end up leaking after 3 to 6 months.This one has been in service for a couple of months, and shows no sign of premature leakage or wear. It is great.I should say that this coupler works differently from many other common couplers. Simply push into it and the male end locks into place.Similarly, there is not a need to detension the couplers to release, simply pull back on the release ring. I like that, but it is different from the other couplers I have. 10 year old kids will find this coupler easier to disconnect than the others which require more strength and additional dexterity.

I've changed all of my fittings to these Milton high flow versions. Why not take advantage of the superior air flow for better tool performance?

Product is well made and works good, but it is made overseas (Taiwan) now instead of here. It's still a good product, but I like quality made USA products and don't mind paying extra especially for something inexpensive like this. Just shows almost all companies are about the mighty dollar instead of quality manufacturing and supporting are country.

Do not have to pull the coupling ring out when inserting an air hose - just push in til it snaps. I like that.

Milton fittings are the best. I had the purple aluminum ones, and the brass hold up to abuse WAY better.

Bought these to replace all the Harbor Freight (Chinese junk) sprinkled around in the shop but after a few years it's become plainly evident that these fail open more often than the Harbor Freight ones do at 1/5 the cost.So sad to see yet another US brand falling down the bottomless pit of purchasing agents & accountants ruining a company.

I switched my whole shop over to these and while it was a little bit of an investment to do so it was really worth it. I love the cross compatibility and they really do flow a significantly higher volume of air. As with most things, Milton, if you buy their professional quality stuff like this coupler is, you can expect them to last a long time. The Milton ones these were replacing have been in service for over a decade.
