I used this to sand down a steel handrail for repainting. The narrow belt worked great around the twisted vertical rails and on the small reveals on the horizontal rails. I had two batteries from another Milwaukee tool, so I was able to keep working continuously. It does require several belts to get a large job done, I went through about 8 coarse belts in about 3 hours of sanding. The adjustable belt angle allows easy access to tight spots and the belt changes are simple. Highly recommended.

I use this bandfile for everything - just like Frank's Hot Sauce, except in my workshop. The tool has good power for the size, and is small enough to get into tight spaces. I have used it on wood and metal, and purchased some zirconia belts to use on hard metals. The forward & reverse selector is great, and the speed of the belt is good. The mechanism that the belt rides on is well engineered and changing belts is a snap. The brushless motor is pretty quiet. The tool is a joy to use.
