I gave this as a Christmas gift to someone who has a nautical themed office. He LOVED it. It was so gorgeous I wish I would have taken pictures. I was really impressed with the wooden box! There is no made in china markings (or any markings at all) and it is solid wood. This was an EXCELLENT find! I could not believe the price once I received it. Well worth the price, plus more!

This is a steal for the price. It is a functional mini-telescope with high quality "leather" lace in a solid, good-looking wooden box with a latch. It would be worth it for the cute little wooden box alone as it is under $10.00. This was great as part of a pirate birthday gift, works well for my son who takes it on walks, and worked as a symbolic graduation gift for an teen relative.

Purchased as an accessory for pirate pretend play, but was SHOCKED by what I received.A truly beautiful piece. Authentic look and feel with heavy brass, high quality faux leather detail, and real glass lense.The telescope is actually functional, which I didn't expect. It extends easily, yet the build is very sturdy.The wooden case is beautiful, great quality wood as well. Thoughtful attention to detail with the felt lining and lense cap to prevent scratches.The authenticity and quality FAR exceeds the humble pricetag. Beyond a simple prop, it's display worthy.

The box is super nice, although it doesnt latch closed.The actual monoscope is cheap, and doesnt really magnify too much. So its not like you will be seeing things from far away.Defintiely cute. defintieyl good for a kid. definitely worth the price.

It actually functions, it magnifies and works (don't know how much but seems to magnify more than 2x's) and is of GREAT quality for the price. Very pleased. Assuming those who said it doesn't function got a dud. Was expecting a fairly cheap feeling product that may or may not have magnification and was very pleasantly surprised at what was received. It doesn't feel cheap, it actually works, the box it comes in doesn't feel cheap, it comes packaged well. All around fantastic value.

Cute little telescope gift for a young child. The child probably won’t notice the poor quality on some parts of this telescope. Since this does not effect the functionality, I will not return it since it’s Dec 20 and this will be the child’s stocking stuffer.

This is a beautiful little telescope and keepsake box! We bought it for our 2 year old as a pirate accessory (bc pirates are life right now) and he hasn’t let go of it since unwrapping it! He’s dropped it a couple of times and both items are extremely durable. He loves it and we love it! Don’t hesitate!

My 4 yr. old grandson wanted a pirate themed birthday party in April. This telescope was the perfect add on gift. HE LOVED IT! It helped with the pretend theme and he was also using to spy on squirrels in the tree outside his bedroom window. 😄
