I bought the vest with 20lb of weights and I love it. Walking and jogging with this is my favorite workout, but you could do so much more. I love that you can easily adjust the iron weights, so I started with 8lb and I’m glad I did! I exercise every day, I’m 5’4 and weigh 140lbs. Walking/running with 8lbs of weights for 1.5 hours wore me out! I slept like a baby. I will gradually move up to 20lbs. I have a big chest, so I was worried about how this would feel while running, but it’s really comfortable! It’s pricey, but I can tell it will last. Everyone is complaining about the zipper and I understand what the issue is. You need to loosen the straps, then align the zipper, zip up the vest, then tighten straps to your body. It’s so easy to adjust the straps and there’s no extra strap belt flapping around while you run because the straps are all velcro. This vest is double or triple the cost, but worth every penny. After working out, I felt euphoric and I believe it’s because the vest acts like a weighted blanket, it may even help you release oxytocin. I debated buying this and a few other cheaper options, and I’m so glad I went with this one.

Fabric is great. Vest built very sturdy and weights are slim. Likely would have been great. I returned it. Beware of the size. Description said up to XL. I wear L shirts and this vest is nowhere near big enough to wear unless you have a small chest.

I really like this vest, but the zipper can be a pain. If I don't have the zipper firmly seated and lined up just right, it won't zip up. When unzipping, after getting the zipper all the way back down, if I don't have it lined up just right again and have the tension just right, it won't release. A zipper really shouldn't be this fussy to deal with, and I'm concerned about the durability. Other than that, the rest of the vest is terrific. The customizable fit works well and I can snug it down so it doesn't move around when exercising and doesn't place all of the weight on top of my shoulders. No problem with the weight pockets being on the inside of the vest. I wear it over a t-shirt and find it to be very comfortable. I'm 5'8" and the torso length is good for me. I can do squats without the bottom of the vest hitting against my hip bones and getting pushed up. I tried a different brand of slim fit vest that is very popular and much more expensive, but the recommended size for me was much longer in the torso and I had the problem with the vest being pushed up when doing squats. I have a 38 chest and 32 waist, and this vest fits fine with a few inches to spare. However, mine also came with an extra set of six velcro straps that could be used to add 10 inches or so to the adjustment straps on on each side of the vest (so, about 20 additional inches total) to accommodate larger sizes. The weights fit snugly in each pocket, so they don't slide around during vigorous movements. But they're easy enough to insert and remove when needed. I really like that the vest is machine washable after removing the weights, though I haven't tried that yet. Overall, this is a fine vest, but the zipper really needs improvement.

Wanted to love this vest. It checked all the boxes, zipper closure, breathable, adjustable weight, easy to clean, etc., until I actually wore it for my runs. The material around the edges were so stiff and abrasive it led me to having much of the skin on the front of my shoulders, abdomen and back rubbed off. No matter how much or which way I adjusted the vest, it just didn’t work for me. Maybe it’s a one-off deal, maybe it’s because I’m female and the fit is more for a male, I’m not sure, but as expensive as this vest was, you’d expect to be able wear it for the workouts you want and still be able to keep your skin.

Update: I have now had this vest since September of last year and it’s held up like new. I have been using it 7 days a week for HIIT and it is the best thing that has ever happened.bought this vest a few months ago and wanted to put it through some workouts before reviewing. this vest has held up marvelously to about 3 HIIT sessions per week and some middle-distance runs. material is heavyweight, zipper also seems robust and it doesn't really interfere with burpees, pushups, running (sprints or endurance pace). Can be worn with or without a shirt underneath without chaffing. Also doesn't lean one way or the other or choke you out (was using a ballisitc rated plate/bullet proof vest). Only 2 concerns, i got the 12lb vest and tried to contact MIR about buying new weights but got zero response (via email). And my training partner (who is meaningfully larger than I am) bought a heavier vest but the zipper there broke. Good news is customer service did work with him to get him a new vest eventually.

I tested several weighted vests before purchasing the 32lb version of this vest. This vest is much more secure and comfortable than the sand, plate, and bar versions I have tried. I use it for walking, running, and body weight workouts. I'm 6ft, 200lbs, and it fits me great. It's supposed to be snug; it's a “slim†vest. The only improvement that I recommend is more padding on the shoulders, but it is no worse than the others I've used.

The fit is tight-fitting which is perfect for almost all activities. Very comfortable. Could maybe have a more durable zipper but only time will tell with that.
