  • Package content & details: 50 x Mirka Abranet mesh sanding discs (Ø 5-inch), with hook and loop attachment, grit size: P120 (Fepa standard), suitable for all 5'' orbital sanders, sanding machines, or manual sanding
  • Quality from Finland: Mirka sanding solutions can be found in workshops worldwide, providing professional sanding results suitable for both professional and personal use.

You know what you are getting with the brand name and does not disappoint. Best part is its a fraction of the price if you got them at Rockler

Probably the best sanding disks I have ever used. Will not clog AND lasts 5x longer than conventional sanding disks. Well worth the premium price if you are a serious woodworker.

I have several random orbit sander with different hole configurations so these discs can be used with any of them while also providing great dust collection. The discs also appear to outlast the Mirka Gold discs that I've used for years. Not inexpensive but factoring dust collection and longevity I think they're a good buy.

These are pretty amazing. I'd been using Harbor Freight sanding discs for ages and recently got some Mirka solid sanding discs and was impressed by the improvement. I just saw these mesh discs, also from Mirka and decided to give them a try. I think they're as much better than the standard solid Mirka discs as those were from my old HF ones. They sand unusually quickly and leave a good finish. The only problem they have is tearing. If I hit a sharp corner with the outer edge of the disc it runs the risk of tearing the disc, which then propagates quickly. Otherwise the grit lasts indefinitely as far as I can tell. I've always torn one before the grit wore out. I'm toying with running a bead of epoxy around the outer edge on the back side so that it won't tear as easily. I'm afraid that'll mess with the quality of the work, though.

I have tried many sanding disks out there that are sold, and this is the best one I have used to date. It is expensive so buy in bulk and the price is much cheaper. Many times these products are not described as what best to use for. Are you using on bare wood? Are you using to abrade a varnish? Are you using it to remove varnish? All are questions that are very relevant to what type of sanding disk to use or buy, as many times one is not very well suited for another application, as in my case, varnish removal or abrading for finish coat. These disks are the best I have used that eliminate all sanding scratches if used correctly. Very important for either getting ready to varnish or for abrading for finish coat. This is where these shine. No scratches whatsoever. Please be very careful when sanding as any water based finish will show scratches much more than oil finishes, and many will tell you to not use aluminum oxide paper with silicate for water born finishes as the scratches will show through. This review is for polyurethane finishes only as I do not use water based finishes. These have excellent scratch resistant properties which I have had problems with using other manufacturer's sanding disks. That is the bottom line for me. However, I was not totally impressed with dust pickup using my vac on the RO sander. That is why I gave it 4 stars. It is best to use a pad protector under these, which I did, and that may have contributed to less than impressive dust control. However, the protector aided in sanding much more efficiently. Bottom line is these are excellent quality sanding disks, seem to last as long or longer than others, and no scratches whatsoever. No fisheyes either. These are my go to sanding disks when I get ready to apply my first coat of varnish or my final coat of varnish. I use cheaper disks for the bull work and then use these to finish off.Buy them and you will not be disappointed. I have used these for over 30 years so I am not talking as a homeowner, but as a professional. Also remember to use a quality RO sander as these work in unison with the right equipment and you can't beat the new RO sander by Porter Cable for the money.

These perform well with my Festool 125 Rotex sander. Using the Rotex and Festool vacuum along these discs, there is very little dust left on the workpiece.

When used with the Mirka palm sander you get a fabulous finish with all the dust being vacuumed in real time.

They really are one of the best sand papers out there though to be candid, do question the cost.
