I have a 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara that I bought for exploring the back country since it is a little 4x4 with 165 hp and is a very dependable little car. What it does not come with is a circuit to beep the horn when locking and unlocking the car with the remote.I used this back up alarm for that by taking the inside cover off the back door and tapping into the circuit that sends a voltage to lock and unlock the back door. I ran those wires into a bridge rectifier and then to the back up alarm. This allows the beeper to power on no matter the polarity of the signal.Once completed and closed up, I can still hear the long single beep comfortably at 50 ft. No more having to guess if the doors are locked or not.Update: It sounded nice in a quite environment but could not be heard in a busy parking lot with lots of cars and trucks going by. I had to move it to under the back of the car.

It makes the annoying beeping noise when active.Loud enough to make your intentions known.Install is pretty straightforward.Hopefully it holds up to the weather.
