What an ingenious idea! I don’t have to turn around and lose my balance (while running) to see if there is any traffic behind me. I can also be aware of my surroundings while I am out shopping late at night; walking to my car in a parking lot.

Yeah, I did. I took this to the casino and it was great. I could see everything, including where the creep who tried to get in our faces before the comedy show was sitting, without having to turn around. They caused a stir with folks around me making jokes and asking about them, especially the women, who were looking thoughtful and nodding because they know what's up.Then I took them running. I didn't lose my balance by having to whip my head around to check for cars as I crossed a street. Also you can look real quick at the person huffing and puffing behind you, decide if they're a threat or just a loud runner and whether to move on or whip around and punch them in the neck. I keep it in my purse- fine, fanny pack- and could pull it out or wear it if I got creeped out near my car or a parking garage. The possible usage scenarios are endless and it folds down small, easy to tuck in anywhere.As for the gloves themselves, they are of stiff yet stretchy nylon, and fit me OK but are probably not universal. I wear Medium/Large and imagine small-handed folks might find them too large; my husband's big old hand fit in it but it was snug. PEEL the FILM OFF the mirror- it's there but not obvious with a tab to pull. The mirror backing is stitched right into the glove rather than just glued, a plus. The cleaning glove is something I haven't really used yet like, in the field. I kept forgetting and wiping the mirror on my side but I like that you get it and it had 2 different surfaces to use, that's thoughtful (lil squeegee 'n a brush thing). The material isn't pilling or coming apart anytime soon like those polyester dollar store gloves.Honestly I've been using this glove by placing the mirror on the back of my left hand while running, but the palm of my right hand when I want to be discrete, like going to the store. I find it easy to still access my phone and cards with it on.I think if you get these you should remember they are more about utility than style or hand warmth. They're made to fit over your other cool technical running gloves. They give limited warmth but peace of mind and more speed as you dart across streets. They're a little pricey, IMO, but if you're a night runner like me, it's worth it for the added security. I also run with a knife and mace because we live in a messed up world where a lady can't just go enjoy the night without taking precautions.

The fit of it is very weird. It fits on my fingers perfectly and don't think it would fit bigger hands nearly so comfortably, and yet the palm and back-hand areas are completely loose and/or wrinkly. It's definitely not flush on the skin, and the mirror feels bulky. Inspecting the mirror itself, it is low quality and full of scratches right out of the box. I thought these would be useful for hiking, but I would not even be able to wear these without getting overstimulated. I didn't give a lower review because I will say that the mirror does FUNCTION as intended, and the gloves themselves I can tell aren't going to fall apart anytime soon or anything like that, so yes, it is proper gloves with a mirror that works, but no, I just don't think it's worth it due to problems with the glove size and mirror quality.

This glove is a MUST if you are a runner! Hold your hand up to see, cross the street, watch out for pets and SO MUCH MORE! This is even great to have when walking from your car, out of a store or whatever! This is going to be great for Christmas gifts!

These are cool, I use them to go running. I can easily check behind me before I cross streets or in residential areas. They are pretty thin and lightweight, but that also means they won't last forever. I thought the mirror would be too bulky and get in the way, but I don't even feel it when I start running. They are good and I like them.

These gloves work...kinda.Alright, there is a mirror on one side of one glove and a set of strips on the other glove to clean it on the fly as you run.Personally, I don't find the cleaning gloves helpful, so I stopped wearing it after the first time.How the mirrored glove functions depends in many ways on the weather, but also on how you plan to use it.First, if it gets really hot where you exercise, you might be adverse to wearing this because, while it is breathable, the glove still gets hot and sweaty.Second, if you like to carry things like leashes, phone, keys, water, etc... when you exercise, having the mirror on your palm can become a problem.Based on my experience, the mirror actually functions best on the back of my hand.Third, and as is true of any similar mirror, when it is rainy, misty, or humid, you have to do more to keep the surface clear.Lastly, how well this mirrored glove functions depends on a lot of factors like the type of exercise you do, the kind of environment you exercise in, and what other things you wear and carry when you exercise.You have to move the mirror and focus on it to get a good view of what is behind you; that takes attention away from everything else you are doing as you move.Basically, better than turning around, but still a distraction.Based on my experience with this mirrored glove set, I see it as having potential to improve safety for some individuals.At the same time, I feel people should temper their expectations.The one mirrored glove is not the same as having eyes in the back of your head.Instead, if you get in the habit of wearing it, you can use it to get glimpses of what is going on behind you as you are moving.
