About this item

  • Nylon barbed ball valve splices into hoses
  • Drains can without removing from vehicle
  • Includes hardware and hoses for universal installation

Tired of removing the bottom half of your Mishimoto Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can in order to drain the accumulated blow-by? The engineers at Mishimoto have answered with the Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can Petcock Drain Kit. The 6" of black rubber hose allows you to easily splice the black nylon ball valve into the hose wherever works best for you! The included 3/8" NPT to 3/8" hose barb black nylon fitting, which replaces the current plug in your catch can bottom, and three worm-gear clamps make installing this petcock drain plug a breeze. As with all our products, this kit includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
Our catch cans are different from most air-oil-separator (AOS) systems on a few levels. First, our catch cans are not heated. This means that all of the blow-by is able to condense in the can, including low-octane oil vapors and contaminated fuel vapors. Most AOS systems also drain the blow-by back into the oil pan, while our catch cans trap the blow-by and keep it out of the engine permanently. If you've seen what we've seen in the bottom of our catch cans, you won't want that draining back into your oil either.

Well designed item and does what it’s supposed to do. I’m not understanding the complaints about the nylon fittings. The PCV connections on the engine are made of plastic also for most engines. The system does not operate under extreme pressures, vacuums or heat. Just keep it away from the exhaust manifold. The fittings are well-made and are adequate for the system they are designed to operate on. The valve closes as it is supposed to. A test of slightly opening the valve while idling created nice suction at the end of the drain pipe so I know the system is properly sealed when the valve is closed. A bit pricey for these components but it got the job done. I mounted the valve behind a bumper trim cover under a turn signal that can pop off in 3 seconds with a flat trim tool. For my setup, there was too much in the way in the engine bay for a cleaner install.

I don’t normally write reviews but after installing this on my oil catch can the valve leaded oil all over my garage floor. Hopefully the hose will withstand oil and I used a different not fitting for my catch can now having to find a better sealing valve. Ended up wasting $40. Don’t buy this one look at other solutions or better yet make your own.

Had zero issues installing. Bought only because my catch can is under my Spod making it very difficult to get to the can itself. Drain line was way more than I needed it to be. I want say it was 6ft and I maybe needed 30 inches. Petcock conveniently come out from behind the inner fender liner and above my spring on the driver side. Hidden but not obscured. Must have for anyone running a JK with a single or dual Spod setup.

Good idea and good fit. Solid product. Distribution is questionable. Package came with an eBay sales invoice and also missing 2 worm clamps.

Got a double pack to go with my 2.7L Ecoboost twin can setup. I would recommend that if you’re installing the whole catch kit that you install the drain first and dangle the houses while you mount. It’s a straightforward setup and makes it way easier to drain.

If you buy the oil catch can, you'll love adding this to it! The difference in time between unscrewing the can and simply turning the valve is 20 seconds for valve, and about 10 minutes without it... I have a 2019 Honda civic and the can mount, although very well built, leaves very little space to gain access.

The poor quality plastic valve leaked while in the fully closed position creating a big oil stain on my driveway. The rubber hose is of poor quality as well, swollen and cracked also leaking oil. Don't use this kit, build your own from better materials and avoid the issues I had. This retailer told me to call Mishimoto and Mishimoto told me to call the retailer, so my loss.

Plastic barb fitting, plastic valve, piece of hose and 3 small hose clamps for $41??? Not worth it. Returning.
