Installed on my 2013 JK sport which has the sludge/crap in the coolant system problem as many do. I did completely flush the coolant system multiple times before install. I am moderately mechanically inclined and have a decent tool collection and this took me about 30-45 mins. Make sure you're gentle and use youtube if you are not familiar with your JK to avoid breaking a sensor or the plastic. This totally is something that can be done in the driveway or garage. You will want to make sure you have all you need before you start, especially if this is your only vehicle...watch the videos (there are a few) a few times and you'll figure it out. Overall very clean end result which takes advantage of some free space right off the passenger side frame rail. I have no concern about it being a weak link, making contact with anything, or the quality of the kit. Im planning on changing the filter at 1, 3, 6, 12 mo's then yearly. Ill try to report back after a month. This is the most complete kit that I know of. Others have taken heavy equipment coolant filter kits and made them work but this gives you everything in one kit, specifically the bracket.EDIT Nov 1st. No trouble after thousands of miles. Filter changes were easy. No leaks. All is well.

I’m worried about the casting sand that Chrysler did a poor job of getting out of the head and engine block castings of my 2017 Jeep JKU 3.6L and I figured doing this is better than doing nothing. My kit was missing the 3 bolts to secure the filter head to the bracket and I had to source something on my own for that. Other than that the install went good and I can’t wait to see how much debris this will collect. -1 star for missing hardware though.

As the heading states my kit came with all hardware and was a 45min to an hour and a half install due to where the bracket mounts to on the frame and myself finding the best combination of tools to install it (Ratchet with deep socket on the outer side of the frame where the two factory frame holes are located, and a wrench on the inside of the frame). Other than finding the right tools for the job this was an easy install and really clean with a few zip-ties, I did not use the ones from the kit as they were really brittle and broke with little force. Can't wait to see what crap the filter catches from my 2013 JKUS as my heater core was clogged and using half CLR and distilled water cleared it up, this kit was installed to catch any remaining solids and prevent future mishaps with the heater core. Five stars till I cut open the filter and see what's inside.

Easy to install and it gives me the confidence that my heater core will work for the life of the truck.

The ball valves could be of a higher quality than provided for the price. Otherwise clean install, great fit of the bracket. No worries.

The product is ok . Amazons shipping was terrible or would that be UPS . The box was trashed , with a foot print . 70%of the filter housing was missing . If you’re in the same boat . You can get the parts at a home improvement warehouse.

Did not like that it is just a side stream kit, meaning it does not filter all the coolant going to your heater core.
