Since this is a product review and not a review of Amazon Prime's occasional over-promise & under-deliver when it comes to their delivery date estimates (it was one day late), let me start off by saying this is a very well made product. I bought this largely with the intention of quieting the cabin noise because of the sound tube/generator that comes with all of these vehicles from the factory (2016 Subaru BRZ). I tried plugging the cabin noise outlet with a 12V plug but that didn't really make much of a difference so I looked into sound tube deletes. This one just so happens to also include an intake hose that improves airflow and came with a claimed 5 hp increase.Install was relatively simple and involved more struggling with taking bits off the old hose than putting on the new one. The result is that my head is no longer ringing after a 45 minute commute and that there is a noticeable smoothness in how the power is delivered. These cars are notorious for the torque dip from 3000-4500 RPM where it feels like the engine is suddenly dying on you before you emerge from that valley. Based on what I can feel, this intake hose helps to mitigate (but probably not eliminate) that problem. From my perspective, this product delivered what it claimed and looks good doing it.

Really cleaned up the engine bay, and so much nicer without the sound generator tube. I read the R&D thread on this part and they mention that the resonator on the bottom side of the tube actually helps, so this is one of the few that offer that option. Great quality, and fits like a glove. Would recommend.

The small connector did not fit correctly. I had to struggle to even get the small hose to fit that connector. Also gunk likes to stick to the surface and it's very hard to clean it. Sound is not impressive (I'm using the sound tube delete but with the plastic reservoir attached).

First off I am a rookie when it comes to cars, let alone performance mods. I purchased my 2017 BRZ and became curious of upgrading its performance. I paired this intake tube with a Perrin high flow filter. I chose to go with this combo due to positive results based off of online research. I read many cases of power loss when using cold air intakes, as the stock air box is said to be well constructed.Installation was somewhat challenging, but totally doable. I had trouble getting the tube on the throttle body, but once I did that, no more issues.Performance wise, I feel increased acceleration and power. In no way does it feel like a massive gain, but it is there. The sound reduction is apparent, but obviously at high rpm, the sound is there. So far my MPG has increased slightly. I plan to purchase the Invidia N1 cat back exhaust next.

Perfect fit. Required minimal tools and even less cursing to install.Haven't seen a big difference in performance because the rpm's need to be above 6k before the hp gains are realized. But it did get rid of the annoying "ego booster" in the firewall.

It's an inlet hose and it came with a cap for the sound generator tube. Cleaned up the engine bay and made a barely noticeable improvement to performance when paired with a high flow air filter. I had to replace the clamp for the air sensor though because the filter was too big. I can't stand the clamps you have to hold with a pair of pliers (I forget the technical name for them), so I don't even consider it a loss.Pro tip: when you install it, you can actually just completely unscrew the sound generator box and pull it right of of the car. There are just two little plastic bits holding the tube in place and it pops right out. There will be a small hole from where the tube led under the glove box. I just put a piece of duct tape over it because it's completely unnoticeable and tucked far away from sight. Dropped sound in the cabin significantly; now you just hear the noises the engine is actually making.

Awesome product! Mishimoto has a good reputation for producing awesome aftermarket parts and have outdone themselves with this one! If anyone is running bone stock, I strongly recommend this as your first performance mod. You won't gain 20whp BUT you will feel a notable difference in the way your car breathes! The cold air intake is next on my build list.

It works as described. The car feels more responsive. Buying it from the Amazon Warehouse was a great saving. It was rated as used-good. It looks as good as new.
