I can imagine that my candles could be a one-off, but I think mine have a manufacturing defect and I've returned them. They quickly burn down into their centers so that the flame is no longer visible. From a short distance across the room, they look as if they are out. We burn candles to enjoy seeing the flame. Of the 3 in the package I bought, I found this problem with the first one and so tried another (pictured). The one in the picture only burned during one evening - 3 hours at most.
