Got this to replace monofilament strands on a bow for a psaltery. The monofilament made screeching sounds when playing. Replaced it with this mongolian horse hair,and it makes a mellower tone. Well worth the cost.

I will spend more and buy a better quality product next time. The horse hair bundles were too thin and not long enough for a 4/4 size bow. I did manage to re-haired one bow, but it will need to be redone with hair from another supplier. For the price it was well worth it for the experience.

Glad this came with two sets. I messed up the first one. If you don't know what you're doing, consider one a "practice" set. Got the other one in much better and am very happy with it. Next time should be easier.

The hair is not heavy enough. Nearly one fifth of the hairs were not usable (too short), Wast my time to work on replacing old hair by using one of the two. Kind of disappointed.
