Dropped right into the nut slot on my Yamaha FG800J. No dreaded "sitar" sound with stock slot filings using either the stock FS50BT Yamaha strings (.012, .016, .025, .032, .042, .052 string gauges) or a set of extra light Elixir Nanowebs (.010, .014, .023, .030, .039, .047).With the stock FS50BT Yamaha strings using feelers the gap on first sixth string (Low E) fret was .020 and high E was well over my highest feeler gauge of .035 and I didn't feel like figuring out which combo of doubled up feelers would match it, so I don't have an exact measurement for the high E.I filed it down as low as I dared and measured all the strings to give the relative difference between each string and got .039(High E), .035(B), .030(G), .024(D), .019(A), .008(Low E). So just add .012 to each number to get the approximate stock gap you'll get before modifying it. There was no fret buzz or issues with the truss rod set up to have a very slight bow in it, even with heavy strumming with such a low action on the low E string.Obviously this is the reverse of what you want (you want more space for the Low E than the High E). Since this came with two nuts I plan on waiting on nut slot files to come in and following this procedure on the 2nd nut:Put it on guitar and check low-E clearance on 1st fret while back-fretting (pushing string against 2nd fret by putting finger or capo in 3rd fret - this method takes saddle and truss rod adjustments out of the equation), sand the bottom of the nut, checking very often until that clearance reaches .001-.005 on low E, then re-string without gluing, and dial in each individual slot with files until they all have the .001-.005 clearance with the back-fretting at 2nd fret method, then lightly glue in place.

Did not fit what I ordered it for. Bad description. Made it work on another guitar
