For our 1000 mile trip we needed something to keep the luggage carrier still. This product fit the bill and worked well. The only minor issue was the included washers were not up to the task and deformed upon tightening which made them difficult to remove when we reached our destination (removed carrier for the week while on vacation). It was not a big issues as we just replaced with larger and stronger washers for the trip home. The rest of the system seems very well made and strong. I recommend this hitch tightener.

We recently purchased a trailer and towed it behind our SUV for 4 hours to get it home. Anyone who has ever towed behind and car versus a truck knows all too well how that little wobble in the receiver hitch becomes something akin to being inside a heavy metal band's drum. This works plain and simple. You can't make it rattle! If you grab the ball and shake it with all you've got, up, down, left, right...all you accomplish is moving the vehicle. Great product that arrived a day early!!

The hitch tightener plate was good. The other hardware seems flimsy. The washers were too small for the holes in the plate and the lock washers are a joke. The lock washers looked about the size of 12 gauge wire, they were so thin. Thankfully, I have other washers to replace them with. The company should really provide washers of the correct size for this product.

After using my Mockins Hitch Tightener for two summers on my small motorhome, it began to rust. I called the company and they promptly replaced it with a new one. No hassle, no interrogation. They just very politely offered to send a replacement, which arrived in a few days. It's great when a company stands behind their product. Really appreciating Mockins!

Love the peace and quiet of not heating the hitch bouncing around anymore when loaded with a trailer or nothing attached. Very secure and easy to install in less than 5 minutes

My 2-inch hitch receiver always seemed a little loose when I had the bike rack attached. The knocking back and forth was annoying. By putting this unit on I was able to eliminate any back and forth motion, and any excess wear on my hitch parts. It also worked great with the trailer ball mount when towing a boat.

Absolute trash.... Used on a class 4 for approximately 600 miles. Arrived to loose bolts nuts and a bent u bolt. Had to hammer it straight to remove it. The lock washers and washers are too small for this application and can actually slip between the gaps in the plate.
