Worked fine on my martin.Width spot on and sanded depth down a bit as I expected.Slots perfectly spaced anddepth exact.The old bone nut was pretty bad,plus tusq is more consistent.

I purchased this slotted nut after the nut on my beater 1970's Aspen D-28 (it's a faithful Japanese copy of the Martin D-28) split down the middle. The installation was rather quick and painless and I got to hear the difference almost immediately after purchasing it. Before I replaced the nut, the guitar didn't sound bad and it was on the louder side (at least a good deal louder than my Martin DC16-GTE) but after the replacement, I noticed the sustain and clarity had significantly increased.This is a great product for anyone looking to replace the nut on their acoustic guitar. Just make sure that you measure the length of the nut on your guitar before purchasing this.

The model I purchased was supposed to be for a Martin Guitar. It was the perfect width but required a lot of sanding for the bottom to match the original. However, it improved the sound over the original.

Installed this on a 19 year old Sigma DR-1STCE which had the original plastic nut. The string grooves align perfectly. I just needed to sand a bit off the bottom and side for a flush fit. For someone who never done this before, I found the job easy. That's more money in my pocket not spent on a guitar tech. Between adding the new Tusq nut, Tusq saddle, and Tusq bridge pins my old guitar has new life. More sustain, brighter tone, and a bit more volume.

It took a fair amount of sandpaper work to get it to sit correctly in the slot and get the action down, but now that I have it correct I am completely blown away. This thing has made my $150 Yamaha plywood guitar punch WAY above its weight class. The acoustic equivalent of removing a blanket from the speaker cabinet. Highly recommended.

These come with little fine adjusting needed. Very little filing needed for the strings I use, just a little sanding to get the height I wanted. Good nut to easily replace you worn out one with.

1994年製のD-1にサドル、ナット同時に取り付け。思った以上に高さがありかなり削らなければならなかった。紙ヤスリを240番、400番、600番と取り替えながら時間をかけてぴったりに調整取り付け。チューニングをしてジャーンと一発、えっ!こんなに変わる？１音、１音の輪郭がはっきりしレスポンスも余韻、倍音、ハーモニックも大きく向上。余りの気持ちよさに2時間以上も引きまくってしまった。ただ、ここまで変わると調整に時間をかけきっちりギター本体とのバランスを取らないといけない。取り付けには、丁寧に調整する時間と粘りが必要。

I had a cheap plastic nut on my acoustic guitar,so i put this tusq one on,and the sound is alot better..On open string tuning there is a noticeable difference,and sounds alot better.

送られて来た状態は、取付け面が斜めなのでストレートに加工するのに万力を利用した。d-18に付けました。狭くなり弾きやすく成った。取付に0.1mmのシムが必要。
