These bricks seem to be great. It's easy to rehydrate them and each one expands to around 3 gallons of soil like material. The material is very homogenous and finely ground. Looks like a great seeding soil by itself. I'm using it to mix with other materials including local soil to increase the nutrients and it blends well.Looking forward to seeing how well it retains water and helps my plants grow.

This makes a great soil amendment. Lightens the soil, allows roots to take off, and retains moisture.

Love this product. I had tried using peat moss but felt guilty because of the environmental impact and honestly it never retained the moisture like it promised. So I ordered this coco coir and have never turned back. I’ve ordered this about 6 times this year already and every time we extend our garden, I plan on ordering more. It’s easy to use, holds moisture well, and keeps soil fluffy. I use this in combination with compost, vermiculite, and I add nutrients as needed (the Mel’s mix way) and my plants are so happy.

I got this to add to my garden bed and potted plants to help aerate the soil for better drainage. It is exactly as discribed does take a measurable amount of water to breakdown. I did a 50/50 mix and it did make a difference. I do like the amount in the package and I havent noticed any debris. Out of the package there is no smell, when wet it has a slight wet earthy scent not that noticeable in my opinion unless you bring right to you nose. This is just dried grounded compressed coconut husk. Each piece is probable the same size an average brick if not just a little longer. Coconut coir is a valuable soil substituted or addition for any amd every kink of planting.

I tried these for the first time and they were pretty easy to use. I was looking for something lighter than bags of soil for some seeds. Fibgers crossed, I am just waiting to see if my seeds will take off in this.
