Use the Moen Posi-Temp Shower Handle Replacement Adapter Kit to replace broken or worn handle mechanisms for Moen Posi-Temp tub and shower valves. The Posi-Temp valve system delivers generous water flow and works to maintain consistent water pressure and temperature while you shower. This genuine Moen replacement part allows you to restore usability to Posi-Temp handles that are no longer functioning properly without having to replace the entire fixture. Two installation screws and an Allen wrench are included.

This is what the shower handle attaches to on the shower cartridge. Several other reviews state this part gets cracked when plastic is brittle from age or over tightened.Mine was not cracked but as long as you’re replacing the cartridge, it’s cheap insurance to replace this part while you’re at it. Price is reasonable, exact fit and good quality.Item arrived on time and well packaged. Would buy again from this seller.

It started with a drippy faucet. Then the old set screw in the handle was partially stripped out. My other allen keys couldn't engage well enough. The key that came with this set could grab and remove it. I replaced all of the parts included with this set and a new 1222 cartridge. No more drip. I think the key that came with this set was the biggest part to it going smoothly though!

Listen, for less than 7 bucks, I would buy this again in a heartbeat to avoid paying $83 at the local hardware store for a full trim kit just to get the part I needed. Is this name brand? No. Does it 100% fit exactly as the old one did? No. But it’s pretty close. And if the only issue is that the plastic on this is a little thicker than the original, causing the set screw not to screw all the way into the hole, I’m not bothered by that aesthetic issue enough to pay $80+ for a genuine Moen part. Save yourself some money and buy this. It works.
