This modest little item changed the whole quality of flow from my kitchen sink faucet from a nasty, unfocused spray to a strong, clean flow. I got a cheap faucet from Lowes, and the aerator it came with was just terrible. Once I added this, the stream of water changed to something I would expect from a faucet three times more expensive.

This aerator is still extremely well priced and actually works at all flow rates and doesn't restrict the flow, which is usually best done without having to pressurize an aerator that is designed to be weaker because they are only looking at the flow rate and aren't expecting people who do this themselves to understand plumbing enough to know what they need to look for. Low flow products basically just need to be this but allow less water through. Never get anything with a moving part, not only is it going to wear out and break, but it isn't necessary at all in an aerator. It's all water movement and air being pulled in around the sides, they mix and are evenly distributed by the grid. And usually trying to make that what limits your water flow screws up the aeration, so get a real aerator that works at low flow rates and have something upstream limit your flow... It's not very hard and you will actually get the benefits of the aerator. Don't worry about this being the easiest thing to just screw off and on making it the most popular place to limit flow. If you want to limit to limit flow here, go with a permanent spray head to get the extra work out of the reduced water flow. And go with one with extended, high quality rubber tips for being able to bend the scale off or get a high quality one that can withstand plenty of sewing other needle pokes and some CLR baths. This aerator is built for that ,but does not require nearly as much buildup treatment as anything I have ever used. And Central Texas is all limestone... Very hard and high pH water. Great for cichlids and such, but very hard on the plumbing
