Update: it has been five months since we purchased this. So far, so good. It works perfectly and the batteries are still in place and not changed. It is nice to have this ac adapter. Dec 2020) Now here is the original review: It works well; it was super easy to install. It is nicely labeled so anyone could make the connections/plug in the cords. Without it, our batteries lasted 5 weeks of frequent use by two adults and two teens. After changing the batteries twice, we got this setup. I am sure everyone thinks Moen should have included this setup into any of their wifi faucet boxes. Also, I am sure everyone says "ouch" at the price of this power supply and tiny control box so you can see the lights to determine if AC current is in use, or if batteries are, or if batteries need replacing. I read reviews that say yes, the faucet works in a power outage or if batteries are dead-just use the faucet-and that is just not so. No power, no water period. If the batteries go down to 20% and you do not have this power supply, your faucet temporarily disconnects from your wifi and no, you have no water. So you absolutely 100% want this power supply so you are not using batteries 24/7 and only just when the power is out (think windstorm has knocked out the power lines). With this power supply, your batteries are a backup; they should last a long time. So this is a great product, it works, and I can recommend it. You simply have to have it or you will be swapping out your D cell batteries every month. I think the faucet battery pack is supposed to use "regular batteries" and not lithium batteries. The point is if you bite the bullet and buy this, it is easy to install and it works; you are off battery-changing protocol.

I have a moen motion sense faucet. I grew tired of changing batteries but wanted a battery backup. this provides a battery backup and allows the faucet to be plugged in to AC outlet. It has a status light that allows you to know if running off AC or battery, and a light to let you know when the batteries need replacing. The first day I purchased it my electricity went out for several hours and It switched over seamlessly. It was a bit pricy but did exactly what I wanted.

it seemed that the batteries never lasted a long time so i thought of this. it works well and if the electricity goes off, it relies on the battery. very happy

This is a great product. Performs as advertised. The only reason for four stars is how expensive this is for a simple power splitter. The status lights are very helpful, and installation was easy.If you are considering a Moen MotionSense faucet, buy this at the SAME TIME. While you can definitely upgrade later, buying at the same time opens up additional options for placement of your battery unit. When you buy the faucet first, you have to put the battery unit near the faucet—at the back of your cabinet. But when you buy and install the power splitter at the same time, you can install the power splitter at the back, and then install the battery unit closer to the front. I installed my battery unit on the side of the cabinet. This will make replacing batteries much easier down the line than if I had to reach to the back of the cabinet.

This adapter worked great on my sink, have had it for multiple months at this point and have run into zero issues. Worth if you don't want to go through batteries like crazy. It's so easy to install and if you are looking for an adapter I would go with this!

I have the Elmo MX-1 portable document camera. The USB end of the power cord got broken off and I was unable to use the connect box. The document camera worked when connected to a computer, but without the connect box, I could not use all the functions and connect it to a TV or projector. I bought a universal power adapter from Walmart because I need the document camera in two days. The adapter did not work. I purchased this adapter. Although it took about two weeks to arrive, the plug worked like a charm. The power adapter is better than the one that came with the document camera since the plug is part of the cable and I don't have to use a USB charging block with the power cord.

Great to have an electrical power source instead of the battery pack that comes with the Moen faucet. The faucet should automatically come with this for as much as the faucet costs.

I have 2 moen faucets with motion sense in my kitchen which are very practical when your hands are dirty,but problem is they are taking each 8 D batteries ,it’s was costing me a fortune on batteries until I found this amazing adapter,I definitely recommend getting this with you have motion sense faucets ,super easy to install too
