We could not use the clamp that came with our toilet paper dispenser because the opening was right up against a stud. The design of this one allowed for the clamp to use just a small line of drywall on that side to stabilize the unit for a permanent installation.

I bought the Moen inset toilet paper holder from a home improvement store but it didn't come with the bracket. So I ordered this part which was mentioned in the instructions. Unfortunately, the bracket didn't come with instructions! Found advice in the comments. The spring has a straight wire on one end. It has to be threaded through the two holes in the center of the bracket on the flat side (see picture). Cut a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch square hole in drywall and avoid any studs. The spring goes against the back wall. The bracket is braced against the inside of the inner wall. Then screw insert into the bracket. Hope this description make sense.

Was not needed and was a waste of money when I was told that it was a must. It's don't cost much so it is not that big of a loss.

No iinfo on how to use this was frustrating. But finally figured it out. Install Spring as seen in picture. Then clean out area where to install it. li installed in shower. With spring facing into the hole press in the top area tilting in top of bracket . Then repeat with bottom part of bracket. The ends should lock onto the inside wall of the hole. Line it up in the middle then install soap rack and line up with the bracket. Insert screws in hole and line up with the open strip holes on bracket. Tighten and that’s it. Same install for tp holder. Great and easy product.
