Yes, yes to dead in the sound from a transmission in an old jeep. Just kept adding layers which adhere to each other very well. Made a huge difference in the noise that was coming into the cabin and I’m going to order more of this as needed.

Went on easy I used it under my head liner( that I haven’t relined yet) kinda like the aluminum foil look. It’s been up for a few months and still sticking so I got a 16.14 and did the back wall of cab under rear window and had enough to do half of my hood ( underside of course) and I looks pretty cool when I raise the hood I’ll need to get just a little more to finish hood(when it warms up). Oh and it’s warmer in the cab then last winter .

Worked well to add to the sides of a Bambu X1C. I wasn't sure how much difference it would make being only on the side panels. Turns out it is a noticeable difference. I also wasn't sure how directional the material is, does it dampen sound better from the foil side? My answer is I still don't know if it is directional. I put the adhesive side on the thing I wanted to quiet. Works well so far.

Used this on the inside of the doors in my 2006 toyota sienna + boom mats for the 6x8s i replaced the oem speakers with, and it helped reduce vibrations well enough to be able to blast the two 10's in the back without much in the way of door rattling and what not(other than its old squeaky parts but unrelated)

Provides great insulation, but the supposed sticky part is more for keeping it in place temporarily as you apply your studs or tape. I used it for truck A/C box.

Using at my Prius, now using it on my Hyundai Senada and the Prius. It really firmed up the doors didn’t hear any rattling. I don’t hear any scary noise now is a Hyundai. He’s late and you’re nice and warm and cool in the summer. It’s a great product.

This foam is closer to 5mm not 10mm and the backing is not very sticky, also not much noise canceling with this product.
