I struggled with this Molex connector at first because I'm used to Deutsch connectors where it's not a big deal for the wire to be in the pin slightly. On these Molex connectors though you really want to avoid the wire being much further past the crimp. Lesson learned, my 2nd one went much smoother.

Took me a bit to get them to work. I had started by putting what seems to be too large of a wire (larger covering) and the pins wouldn't latch. Once I used smaller wire with narrow covering, they worked OK. I don't have a crimper, so I had to do each one manually with a pointed nose pliers, and solder them. Worked out OK, but takes patience.

As other reviews have stated, males pins are junk and really refuse to fit.I was using 18ga wire and I don't know if they would even work with 22ga wire, it just that is not made correctly.Since they sent the exact amount of pins I couldn't experiment to see if even an empty male pin would fit/lock in the connector.

I've done many connector repairs, but the first time I have used these specific brand and model connectors. I found that the female connectors went into the housing fairly easily, with a positive click once it locked. However, the other side, the pin side, did not go into the connector easily at all and I broke a couple attempting it.Which leads me to the next issue: they don't supply an adequate amount of extra metal connectors. These are very fragile, thin pieces of metal and there's bound to be a few mistakes or breaks with people like me. I'd think we are talking pennies for the material and these are spit out by a machine, so why not throw in 5 or 6 extra ???
