I bought this to replace my Sharp EL-2615G that I bought for a job in 2000. It was a great machine, but finally wore out. I was going to replace with a new Sharp calculator, but the reviews were terrible. I've always wanted a Monroe, but stayed away due to the price. I decided to take the plunge finally, and I am very happy with it. Great machine!

I have been using this piece of crap since April thinking the keys will break in and it will cease being so inconsistent, but I am finally ready to throw it out. Its only redeeming feature is the printer cartridge - the ink lasts a long time and produces nice dark numbers on the tape. The keys stick, it consistently omits zeros or entire digits altogether and I have to add up columns of numbers 3 and 4 times before getting an accurate figure. I had high hopes for this machine, which was replacing a pretty new Victor, which was also terrible with the zero keys. If you are a fast typist, do NOT waste your money - this machine can't keep up.

I've only had it a month but it works wonderfully. One year will be the proof. Every other calculator I have had the past 3 years dies after one year of service. We will see how well Monroe does by the end of 2017.

I have had this calculator for 6 and 1/2 months and warranty is for 180 days so Monroe won’t fix it About 2 weeks past warranty so I am stuck. Monroe was always my 1st choice, not any more. The ribbon ( a Monroe ribbon) jammed up the gears and I can’t fix it. Maybe just a lemon but 1 is too many for a well respected company.

Disappointed in the action of the keyboard. Half the time the paper jams. I expected a lot more from Monroe!
