It's worth the buy if your kid is very into using his fine motor skills right now. My kid loves to use our keys around the house for all the doors and screwing and unscrewing nails so this was a great buy. Pretty sturdy quality as well. My son is two and it's still standing after so many tumbles and throws so I'd say it was well built. It's simple and easy to use. Your kid will probably get bored and want something more challenging after he's figured out how to do everything on here but this gives you an hour or so time of quiet of playtime. However I do wish the keys came with a keychain or something because those will get lost if you don't keep track of them, luckily there are two each so I put the other pair away.

I ordered this for the little girl next door. She has managed to outsmart most childproof locks in her house at a young age. I figured it was time for her to use real locks, keys and codes. She is 4. She and her dad will have fun playing with the locks together. I say Dad because her dad is a real handyman and already has shared some of his easier skills with her. She is his little helper. i am hoping that this toy will be a fun activity for them to share plus the locks are real so they are really useful. Also best part is that each lock comes with two keys so that losing one is not a problem. One set can be set aside in a safe place if needed.

I got this for my 2 year old’s birthday. He likes to tinker with tools, so I wanted a safe way for him to do that. Upon opening, I was surprised to see that it is all indeed real wood with metal tools and screws. I expected the locks to be flimsy, but they aren’t.There were no instructions for setup, but I assumed it would all be easy enough. While most of it was pretty straightforward, there were a couple of things that made me grateful I gave my self some time to set it up:1) The two metal/brass locks came with their keys on a ring, attached to the locked lock (so you have to detach the key from the ring before you can open it). Even though those key rings are tiny, those bad boys are quite hard to open.2) The code for the combination lock is 000. This wasn’t stated anywhere on the box. It came reading 777, but after a few attempts, I figured out the right combo.3) I had no clue what the blue wire thing was for, so I made it a keychain. BUT the big black key didn’t fit over the wire thing, so I had to get one of the key rings off the other sets and attach it to the black key. Not as easy as it sounds. My thumbnails are paying the price.4) I put the extra keys on the combo lock and set it in a drawer until he’s older.Overall, I’m super happy with this product, despite those deceptive, evil key rings.** child’s wooden block is used for scale, not part of the toy set

My two year old has been really interested in locks and keys. I bought this knowing it was 3-5. I think my son will be able to use it just fine but will definitely require extra supervision as there are some really small parts. The whole thing is smaller than i imagined when looking at the pictures online.I would recommend this product to anyone who thinks their child will like it.Mine also came with a very small steel braided type cable. I am not sure what this is for but I just used it to secure all the "extra" keys together. The reason I gave only 4 stars is because mine came unassembled and the wooden box would just fall apart if not handled carefully. I was able to glue it and secure the materials easily but that may not be the case for everyone. The next reason is because there is no instruction manual. Its not really necessary but it would be nice to have even a small printout that details what should be in the box.Overall i would recommend this product to friends and family.

The Montessori Screwdriver Board Set-Lock and Key has been a wonderful addition to our toy collection for my 14-month-old daughter. She has always been fascinated by tools, often watching me assemble furniture with great interest. When I found this set, I knew it would be perfect for her, and it has exceeded all expectations. This set is thoughtfully designed with young children in mind. The tools and locks are the perfect size for little hands, making it easy for my daughter to grip and use them. The quality is impressive, with sturdy materials that can withstand enthusiastic play. What I love most about this set is how it encourages fine motor skills and problem-solving. My daughter is obsessed with figuring out how to use each tool and unlock the different mechanisms. It's amazing to see her concentration and determination as she works through each challenge. The Montessori Screwdriver Board Set not only keeps her entertained but also supports her cognitive and physical development. It's a fantastic, hands-on learning experience that aligns with her natural curiosity and love for tools.Overall, this set has been a hit in our household. If you have a little one who loves to imitate your DIY projects, this is a must-have toy. Highly recommend it for any budding builder!

So far I really like this product. I’ve used it with 3 kiddos and they really enjoyed it!Just FYI, this might help some of you who can’t get your blue lock to open. Be sure you are rotating the 000 between the arrows on the SIDE of the lock like in the picture. Hope this helps some of you!
