The pulley had a circular scratch all the around the front of its face. The hole needed to be honed out a touch with some Emory cloth to be able to fit the alternator shaft. If I would have forced or pressed it on I doubt I would have been able to remove it with out damage in the future when I replace the alternator with a 200 amp internally regulated one.
