I have an Edelbrock AVS2 carb and an offset air filter base on my '66 Mustang with a 289V8. The cardboard-like gasket I had would allow the entire air filter assembly to rotate during operation, even though I had it screwed down tight. This gasket isn't "plastic-hard" rather it's pliable and fit very snug on the carburetor. The slit provided good grip on the air cleaner base. Even before I tightened the wing nut on the offset air cleaner assembly, it held the assembly tight and required some effort to rotate the assembly. When I tightened the wing nut down, the assembly was firmly planted and refused to budge. After a test drive, I confirmed that the filter assembly remained in place with no movement. So, I strongly recommend this; it's a great idea and a great item.

Best air cleaner base gasket on the market. Made of thick rubber - not paper fiber like most are. This gasket has a groove in it to accept the base of the air cleaner and to form a perfect seal. My air cleaner was rotating from normal engine vibration with the old fiber gasket no matter how much I tightened the wing nut. This rubber one grips way better and stopped the rotation. The only negative is the price. $12.85 for a gasket that most likely cost about .25 cents from China.

It seals my carburetor perfectly. It’s better than the other gaskets made out of cardboard.great product and material. I also like the space in the ring that makes the air cleaner fit in snugly. Great product from Moroso. I really recommend.

Strangely, out of the package, it did not quite fit on my Moroso air filter drop base, as the ID of the filter base was a bit too small (although, by itself, the O-ring gasket fit properly around my Holley Terminator carburetor-style throttle body). If I compressed the O-ring gasket to fit on the drop base flange, then it just barely wouldn't fit on the throttle body. So, I took the rubber handle end of a regular hammer and tapped all around the ID of the drop base flange until I opened it up just a little bit (don't go nuts here), enough for the O-ring gasket to fit both the base and the throttle body. Maybe I have a weird and unique situation, or maybe not.

Fits my 4 barrel perfect. I have a think finned style air cleaner and the gasket doesn’t swallow my airfilter flange due to the air filter thickness. However it still seals perfectly and secure.

I lost my paper gasket once again. They tend to fly off if I drive without an air cleaner. This rubber gasket just stays in place. Love it

It would be 5 star but its too tight, you put it on the air cleaner but its to tight to fit on the carburetor kinda disappointed

This is a decent quality gasket for the standard 5 1/8" carburetor opening that the air cleaner housing sits on. My issue has been with this gasket twisting outward whether I put it on the air cleaner housing or on the carburetor opening. The gasket seems to be just a bit too large, and I even tried some silicon to keep it in place, but no luck. The design is good, but YMMV.
