This was a good craft to make with my grandchildren with a few caveats: it takes a lot of adult intervention and it takes several days to do. Also be aware that the space allotted for the child's handprint isn't very big (about 5 x 5 inches) so my 7 year old grandchild's hand barely fit in the space, the 5 year old's handprint fit better but there wasn't room in either square to write their names nor put the date.Still a fun activity and will create nice memories when they give them to their parents for their garden.

This is a great idea for a gift. We made one for both grandmothers for Mother's Day. It was easy to make in terms of mixing (it is a two-day or more project, but that's only because of drying time), and I like the cute design around the outside of it. The stone came out nice and smooth around the outside.Two warnings:1. There is not a lot of space for initials, a hand print, and a year. I ended up only writing initials, and even then the spacing was tight.2. This was extremely difficult to do with my 1 1/2 year old. I wish I had waited until next year for this project because he would not cooperate with his hand print. We managed to get part of a palm and part of a couple of fingers, but that was it. Our hand print on each stone looked like a Pinterest fail compared to the one pictured. That is obviously not the manufacturer's fault. I would just say that it may be a project for a child who is a bit older and understands a little bit more about what is going on. That being said, it can't be a child who is too old or the hand print will not fit. Part of the reason I'm giving this four instead of five stars is because there seems to be a small age window in which this project would be successful.

If you follow the instructions. It'll come out right. I ordered 2. The 1st one I missed a step & the stone cracked into peices. The 2nd one come out great. Because I did everything right. I even painted it. Came out very nice.

I bought for the purpose of capturing my 1 y/o grandsons hand print- it takes time or a few days to prepare and I was unable to complete the handprint. Seemed like a good quality product just make sure you have everything you need and multiple days to complete.

Fun craft with younger kids. Fits a two tear olds hand well but it was a squeeze. Definitely not made for bigger hands as we had to arrange the hand just tight to fit it with a name and year. A little messy so I'd do it outside. Fun addictive to a garden. Great grandparents gift too!!

The kit works fine, but I needed to make multiple, and didn't want to buy another kit. So, followed some advice in other comments and bought a plastic flower pot tray and some mosaic/glass tile mortar and made the additional ones that way. I like the way the flower pot trays came out better, because you can buy a slightly bigger tray and that gives you room to have the handprint, some writing and some decorative pieces stuck in if you want. The spot for the handprint in this kit is pretty small, and not much room for anything other than the handprint (my 3 year olds took up most of the space, was able to squeeze in some writing).

Bought these as a Mother’s Day gift. Kids loved doing it. Must read the instructions thoroughly before completing each steps. Acrylic metallic paint works best for painting.

These came out beautifully. The only thing that they really don't tell you is that you should make sure all of the air bubbles are out. Did this for Mothers day and it was the perfect gift.

Bought as a house warming gift for someone with a grandchild. The only disappointment is that it doesn't come with a decoration pack of beads etc.
