This is a high-quality laser light show. I replaced an old one that I did like but this is much better. It puts out high powered lights. It also shows slightly on my neighbor's house across the street but they don't seem to mind. It does cover a wide area so be mindful of that. It works great on my large blue spruce tree and partially on my house. It also has separate Christmas and Halloween options along with the regular light show. It pays to pay the higher price for this model since the quality is very good. I anticipate that this will last several holiday seasons.

It’s definitely stronger than my old one from a few years ago, but no matter the strength still can only be seen within 150 feet away, looking directly at it, not from a side angle I am not sure that any of them are strong enough to be seen on an angle. Is why the 4 star review and not over four stars

I've had this projector for 2 years now and it's worked like a champ. The one thing to remember is that if the projector's power is shut off manually (pulling the plug) or by smart switch/external timer, it will reset to default pattern. It has to have constant power and the timer setting on the remote is what turns it off. Then it turns back on atomically 24 hours when timer/program was set and since it had power supplied it remembers last scene chosen.

Had an issue with the remote and they sent an entire new system just in time for Christmas! Thank you and God Bless:)

Easy to put together and set up. Seems sturdy and well built. Has a really long cord. Good variety of programmed patterns. That's the good.If you use this on a remote timer, as many people do, it will not hold the selected pattern, it will always return to default. The manufacturer could add a separate EEPROM chip to prevent this, but didn't.The built in timer (2,4,6,8 hrs) does work - mostly. It will return to your previous pattern, unless you had it locked on one particular shape. It will only return to previous colors and overall pattern.Let's see...you can select any combination of colors, all three down to just one. Nice feature. You can select from the preprogrammed patterns or lock it in to just one shape. This would be much more useful if the thing remembered that and returned to that selection between cycles. You can select the speed, flash the pattern, or make it static. Now for the terrible. The blue and the red colors, as many reviewers have stated, are incredibly dim, especially as compared to the green. This is a serious issue as having multiple colors is kind of a selling point. The vividness also varies greatly between shapes. The blue and the red snowflakes are all but invisible while the same color "stars" are vivid. Dots are much more vivid than shapes, the green is overwhelmingly so. A lot of this is just the nature of lasers, red and blue lasers have to be more powerful to attain the brightness level of green, but that can be overcome in design - but the manufacturer didn't do that. The patterns can be very wide with a lot of coverage depending on how far away you place the unit, but the patterns also fade away from the center. In my case, the majority of colors and patterns are useless (unless I wanted everything green). Now, the more than terrible...is the remote. I hesitate to call it junk because it does work. Sort of. The remote is...quirky. The button layout is well designed but very poorly built. The overlay is already cracking out around some of the buttons. From inside the house it barely reaches out 20 feet to the unit, with the antenna extended. Again, due to the nature of lasers coupled with preprogrammed patterns you cannot expect an instantaneous response from a button push. That's just how these things work. The problem is that some of the buttons require a "push and hold" while others need just a press. Most buttons require multiple attempts to get the desired response. Some responses are immediate and others take a few seconds to register. You can access a ton of options and combinations with the remote it is just not intuitive at all and takes some experimentation. While I will likely keep the unit it doesn't exactly thrill me and barely meets what I expected. I am projecting on to off-white siding and really just wanted blue snowflakes. I had to settle for blue and red stars because the blue or red snowflakes are basically invisible. I think that the price point is way too high for the end result, even considering that blue lasers tend to be more expensive. The manufacturer should take heed of the reviews and work on making the much needed improvements.

Works well. The red is a little dim compared to the blue and green. Plenty of option to display the pattern you’d like. Coverage is better from a distance. Feels well made. Easy to set up. Would recommend.

I am so disappointed in this purchase. It's our first year having everyone over for Christmas dinner at our house, and we wanted to go all out with the decorating. This was supposed to be a big part of our outdoor display. I spent a lot of time reviewing laser lights and decided to pay more for this one thinking that I would get a quality decoration that I could use for years. Ya, that didn't happen. It arrived a couple of days ago. My husband and I plugged it in in our living room and it worked perfectly. We played with the settings for about 20 minutes then unplugged it and placed it all back in the original box. We let it sit for 2 days until tonight when we put up our decorations. We got it out earlier this evening, very excited to see how it would look. We took it outside, plugged it in, hit the button on the remote control and... nothing. It won't turn on.We tried unplugging and replugging both ends of the power cord (one that goes into the laser light and one that goes into the power box) as well as the plug going into the outlet. The outlet is currently also being used by a string of icicle lights that are working, so we know it has power. Just in case, we tried plugging it into the string of lights. It still didn't work. We brought it back inside and tested it on the same outlet we used 2 days ago. Nothing. We also tried replacing the batteries on the remote (even though the little red light was still coming on). That didn't do anything, either. This was a big disappointment. We were so excited to use it. It was the most expensive decoration we bought this year. It's too late to get another one in time for Christmas Day.My husband pointed out that while the laser light itself felt pretty sturdy, the little power box it attaches to feels very cheap. We wonder if something isn't working in there, preventing power from getting to the light.I don't know if all of these laser lights have at least one component that's cheap and flimsy or if we just have bad luck. I can't recommend this product at all after this experience. We are supposed to receive a replacement, so I guess I'll update once we try that one out. Of course, it won't be here until after Christmas Day, so we'll just have to run it for a bit and make sure it continues working before we pack it up for next year.

took me forever to realize you have to push the power off button super fast or it turns itself off again

I have bought a few the last few years... This one although is expansive; it is however lot brighter then those $60 one. The projector itself is 2X bigger then those cheap one. I have no complaint with this purchase.
