This heater hose assembly consists of two standard heater hoses that go from the heater core to the engine block and two smalled vacuum-type hoses that go to the intake manifold. One of the heater hoses also has a vacuum-controlled valve. Sorry, I'm not a mechanic. I don't know the technical term for all these parts.One of the heater hoses on my Ranger truck was leaking. You can't just replace one hose. Not properly, anyway. You have to replace the whole assembly. I called the local Ford dealer. They quoted me about $170. The Amazon part has the identical Ford part number.It took about an hour to install. By the way, I bought a pair of long (I think 12 or 14" long) needle-nose pliers to reach the spring-type hose clamps and it made the job much easier. Also the pliers I used had a 90-degree bend at the tip, which made it easier to grip all the prongs of some of the clamps.

Hoses worked great but I had to reuse my heater hose vacuum bypass the plastic nozzle tip was to small and did not provide a proper fit for my vacuum hose to stay on so I took it off my old hose assembly and now it works great, good product great price wish I didn't have to dissemble and "make" it work instead of it just clotting like it should.
