Looked just like the one I needed but the threads were the wrong size. Remove yours and get the part number before ordering.

After watching a few youtube videos about how difficult it is to replace the switch given the lack of room surrounding it, I have the answer. Use a 7/8" O2 sensor wrench. I was able to replace the switch in less than 10 minutes.

Used on a 2011 Ford Ranger 4.0L 4x4 manual transmission. Great replacement for a nonfunctional switch. Very hard to replace. There’s only about two inches of space between the transmission and foot well. Additionally, there’s two fuel lines and a about a one inch thick wire harness in that space. I was able to use a 7/8 wrench and one hand.

Even the Motorcraft Catalog got it wrong. The correct part for a 2005 Explorer is a Standard NS-129 or Standard NS-129T. The difference between the 129 and the 129T is only the quality. The back-up light is built in to the 129.I don't know where motorcraft came up with the sw6396 because I used the VIN # to double check.
