This product was easy to use except that when adding to the coolant there is no way on knowing how much to add. Add and run the engine and re-test. i used a lot of test strips before getting the additive to the necessary level.

This additive is absolutely MANDATORY for anti-cavitation purposes if you expect to get maximum mileage out of your expensive Power Stroke engine. Mixed with the coolant (2 bottles @ every coolant change and/or add approximately 8-9 oz. every 15K miles according to my friendly Ford dealer), it prevents coolant mixture from foaming due to the normal, constant heavy vibrations inherent in a diesel engine. The bubbles that could form in the coolant mixture without this Motorcraft VC8 additive will eventually etch small holes in the cylinder walls surrounded by the water jackets. This damage process is known as ''cavitation''. Once it happens . . . . . . .you just emptied your bank account about $12,000.00 for a new engine without this VC8 in the cooling system!
