This is the tool that I didn't know I needed. The springs in my recliner chair broke and I used this spring hook to install the new springs. Once I accessed the bottom on the recliner, it only took me a minute to install the replacement springs. This spring hook tool is fairly priced, well made and perfect for replacing recliner springs. I use this to extract switch grip inserts that get stuck in my bowling ball from time to time. This is at least a third of the price of those specially made for bowling. It’s made of steel so I cannot imagine it ever breaking. The prices of bowling ball tools are outrageous. I’m glad I found this workaround.

Having spent some worrysome time with springs and pliers, discovering this simple gem of a tool was a joy. Very effective, simple, low cost. I kinda wish I had more occasions to use it. Reduces the possibility of injury from flying springs.

This works great for chainsaw clutch springs, just had to do some grinding to taper the hook stem more. I was using a pick hook before which became aggravating.

Used this item & hardly put any pressure on it & the handle broke.I ended up cutting the plastic coating off & had to weld the handle back on & it’s now a lot stronger than it was.
