Have an office that I still hadn't put blinds into and wanted to add to the smart home. I went with these because of the precise customizability, I loved all the exact options at checkout and I was pleased with what arrived. Everything came in a compact package, but the quality is high. It looks great and is extremely functional. Install was very simple, just two drill holes and screws and the unit snaps in easily. Because of the exact dimensions entered at checkout theblinds fit perfectly, and the blinds themselves block light very effectively. For what I paid I'm extremely pleased.

I'm finding it unexpectedly difficult to review this bc it is a really good product.. like really REALLY good. In our new home I've ordered a combination of faux blinds, blackout honeycomb shades, curtains, and then this motorized shade. Out of all of them it has been by far the easiest to install. Aside from initial charging time, I'd estimate it took less than 30min after opening the box before I had it installed and fully functional. After install, I spent maybe another 15min reading the instructions more thoroughly to setup both the minimum and maximum opening positions in addition to going over how it functions with my wife. Once setup, we were both very happy with how it functions and the job it does blocking light out of the theater room we're currently trying to put together. With that said, the reason for mentioning any difficulty in my ability to review this has nothing to do with any issues I have on performance or installation but cost. They are quite expensive IMO. To me $199.99 to cover multiple windows in a house can start costing a lot very fast and that's not even considering the cost per window can go up depending on the size of the window. To me paying what can easily become thousands of dollars for enough of these to cover every window in a house or even just a lot of them is an expense that can likely take quite a financial toll on most ppl. By that I mean it's more likely that more ppl are going to find this hard to afford compared to those that wouldn't bat an eye. That means potential customers are likely going to attempt to find other options that offer similar performance at prices that are more "budget friendly." Not only will they find that other options are indeed available, but they'll notice that some of those options include features that are basically identical. I pretty easily checked for better economy options and was shocked to find at least one that has the same type of remote control method of functioning, has compatibility with voice control, uses the same installation method, and it includes the same dimensions.. but for less.. A lot.. less. It seems you can find essentially the same thing for less than half the cost. For that reason I have to say it's not 5 stars even though I'm saying it is an amazingly good product. Cost is just too big of a factor and I believe more ppl will agree with that than disagree.
