The crossmember tubes are made from heavy gauge steel and mandrel bent just like the original. Surface is galvanized, which is more rust proof and better welding effect.

No need to remove the truck bed, just remove the fuel tank, the old shock and cut away the remaining crossmember. Set the replacement cross member in place, weld it solid, and reinstall your fuel tank and new shocks

This a very good, heavy duty fuel cross bar. Its primed and ready to paint. In my circumstance for my truck, I had to do a little altercation by removing the block and welding another strap holder in its place but the tube itself is great.

Like a typical Chevy I needed to replace this cross member it fit nicely but you need to be a good welder

The product is good quality and the shape matched what was there before. I did have to cut the shock mount off in order to get it into the frame. I welded the old mount to the bar. Would suggest maybe including and extra shock mount so if it has to be removed you can put a new one back. There is not a good way to cut it off with out tearing up the mount.All and all pretty happy with it.

It went in nicely with a little bit of work. Used a torch to remove the old one, touched the holes up with a grinder, the welded the new one in. Everything lined up as it should. Hopefully I don't need to, but if I need another one I will buy the same.

I've owned a few pickup trucks over the years and i've never had to replace a crossmember before untill now. I placed an order for one that i needed to replace on my '2001 Chevy Silverado feeling a little iffy about it hoping to get exactly what i needed for the replacement. Well, i did. It was the right part without any flaws or damage to it. It came with the the steele plates that were needed for welding it to the outsides of the frame as well. Cut out the old, clean the areas on the frame needed for welding, weld inside and outer ends of the crossmember to the fram, clean up, and wa-la. Your good to go.

Read reviews where this would not fit a HD. It fit my 2008 2500HD will zero issue. Would not hesitate to order again

I installed this on a 2013 Silverado 15004x4 because I couldn’t find one to fit the 2007 to 2013 stile of truck. It fit great the only difference is the shock bracket is shorter but it still fits with no modifications. I used a 3 1/8 hole saw to remove the old crossmember and did not use the plates.

This brand of cross member seems to be pretty good. I bought another brand & the shock tower bracket was in the wrong position & facing toward the left frame rail. this one was welded on correctly & lines up great. the only complaint I have is the plates they give you should be big enough to go from the top to the bottom of the rail. they all seem to be cut just under the fuel tank bracket mount. Other then that pretty well a good piece to work with.

Received mine on the last expected day which wasn't a long wait only real complaint is how the shock mount was done on the one i received its definitely on very crooked it stuck out like a sore thumb guess its lucky they hardly welded it on with a thin weld on just the outside so it will be easy to fix without having to cut a whole lot. Just expected a little better quality for the price and amount of other good reviews i read before buying also the packaging it came in was basically destroyed by the time it got to my house just lucky none of the steel plates fell out or got lost along the way
