I bought an old farm table to use as my computer desk. The table is great as a desk, but I needed this drawer to give me a better working height for keying. It's perfect - sturdy, slides easy, was easy to install, and looks nice. There is plenty of room for the mouse. The mouse tray is slightly lower than the keyboard. It seems to me to be it the right location.Everything being said, I've used this drawer for over a month and am very glad I did. Thanks to all who reviewed it previously to me. That helped me to make the decision to buy this drawer.

I had read that the screws could be too long depending on your desk for installation, and it was going to be close for mine, so we just put washers between the screw and frame which worked nicely. Installation is a little tricky if your desk is stationary and you can't flip it upside down, but we got it done and it is working nicely for my work from home needs. I am not using the slide out mouse tray for my mouse because it seems a tad flimsy, so I'll use it for snacks. It's a perfect snack tray.

Works well, more sturdy than my last one that bolted onto front of desk, but had adapt my wooden desk shelf...also brought up the level of the mouse pad and made it even using a little priority mail box and two mouse pads. Getting used to the wrist support bar but it definitely makes it easier to hold my hands in position.

I'm a DIY and thought this would be easy to install. It wasn't until I found ways to hold it in place while I drilled the holes and installed the screws. It barely fit in the space under my desk (my fault for not measuring). I don't like that there is a rather large dip in the tray where the keyboard sits. I currently have the front of my keyboard sitting on top of the front of the tray. The slide-out for the mouse is too far out to the right. It's also quite low since the slide-out sits below the main tray. Just think that usually you work with keyboard and mouse at the same level. I almost rather not use it and keep the mouse on the desk but then I have to reach farther. Too many of the flat trays that I saw had clamps and I didn't want the top part of the clamp on my desk. I could see it getting in the way. I'm considering them now if I decide that I can't adapt to this tray.Someone mentioned about the screws being too long. How true. Fortunately, I checked first and sure enough the screws would have gone through the top of my desk so I cut them down. The tray is adjustable up and down. However, you need to determine the height first since once installed this adjustment might not be accessible. If being installed on a desk with 4 legs, not a problem. My desk has full boards on each side. I would have to uninstall the tray first. Finally, I'm concerned that I'll close the tray slamming the slide-out mouse tray. In fact, I've already done that. So far the mouse tray is ok. The slide on both the main tray and the mouse tray are smooth. No problem there. Summing up the main points: Best to install on a desk with legs, not with full side boards unless there is a lot of space on the sides. Check the length of the screws to insure they are not too long. Imagine working with the mouse at a different level than the keyboard. How will your keyboard sit in the dip in the tray?

LIKED:* Smooth draw mechanisms* ample keyboard area. WAY more width than a numeric keyboard would need.* Brackets are adjustable.* The back has only a small lip, enough to hold a keyboard in place... but not so big that you could not go oversized on something..* TIP: 99+% of folks won't need to, but you can hack this by getting different sized screws (go to your Hardware store). You can also make this "taller" by installing it onto thin wood strips that you then mount under the desk. (I'm using one to house an ancient Atari 800 computer which is like 5 inches high),DISLIKE:* Installation can be difficult -- if so, STOP and try to be creative..*... you need to measure precisely in order to install the brackets to the desk first. This is not easy unless you can flip the desk.* ...I took a different way and mounted the brackets to the shelf, then penciled in the holes and drilled. Even so it was difficult to "start" the screws threading into my desk, but not the product's fault (my desk was heavy MDF/counter).*.. if I had to do it again I would use two 5/8" strips of wood, mount this to the strips, then have someone hold it in place and just drill the strips into the desk.* It is plenty sturdy for the intended purposes, but if you use for an off-label purpose like I did, be aware it won't stand a lot of abuse or weight. There's nothing about this product that could improve the install... 99% of the complaints are because it's hard to mount such things to furniture. Be patient, and get a helper.

It's fine. Exactly what I wanted. I'm only writing this to say that you need to be careful about the dimensions. The posting is accurate so far as the tray goes but the clamps angle outward making is 23.5" at the mounting place under the desk. The ad says "Ample space sitting at 21 inches wide and 11.75 inches deep" but that's just the tray and the slide and brackets make it just a bit wider. Plenty of room for the keyboard though. I'm making new brackets with my 3d printer so I haven't actually put in up yet. I'll come back and edit if I have anything else to say. One think that I did notice is that it has a sliding stop at the top of the tray which I think is supposed to hold the keyboard but it's way too high for min full sized buy low profile keyboard. Maybe it's just there to keep a keyboard from falling backwards or something. But if that were the case just put a lip at the very back. To me I don't think it will matter. The tray is hard plastic and I think I might put some soft rubber liner down to keep the keyboard from sliding around but I don't expect things like that at this price point anyway. I would have just returned it because it didn't fit but it's just not worth the trouble in my case.
