Using this mount to hold my 14 inch M1 MacBook Pro at night. The mount was very easy to install. I tightened the spring arm allen bolts so that the arm easily moves up and down. It does not bounce when I use the keyboard.I mounted the arm on the rear ramp of my trailer so the laptop sits over the left side of my adjustable sofa/bed. I save quite a bit of electricity in my batteries by not having the laptop drive the big screen TV at night in December and January. I use my laptop to generate brown noise for sleep at night.I attached 1/8 inch aluminum plates on the front and back of the ramp. I then bolted the arm mount through those with 5/16 inch hex bolts. The mount is rock solid.I bought the mount kit "used like new" and saved 30%. The only caveat I have is that the side clamps to hold your device only snap together with plastic clips.

My wife and I are both ham radio operators, and we wanted to keep a laptop in our small basement-corner "shack" to do logging and to run digital modes from. This mount allows the laptop to be swung up out of the way when we're not using it, but can be easily deployed as well. I had to tighten the pivot bolts near the actual laptop mounting point in order to keep it from tipping down into an awkward position. The whole thing is quite stiff to move, but that's okay for us since once it is in position it takes a deliberate action to get it to move out of the way. We used the enclosed lag screws to fasten it to a wall stud, and it seems to be plenty sturdy.

I'm not convinced the advertising is accurate. It's not really designed to drop down from It's natural resting state. It's designed to go up. But then it looks like it can drip after you raise it. It's misleading to me. For it to work as I believe the advertising is suggesting, you would mount the bracket for the screen to be centered where you mount it and then the arm goes up or down from center. But it really only foes up from center. So be aware.

Bought this to use in my golf simulator room. Serves its purpose but keyboard tends to go crooked with any pressure applied. Over works for my needs but would prefer the keyboard tray stay put.

I got this to use for a laptop but after looking at it decided that it was to precarious to put my laptop on so I ended up mounting a monitor to a wall and it works great for that

The one I received was defectiveThe spring arm was frozen shut. Even leaning my 200 pounds onto the arm and it would not spring openI asked a question about this on seller's Amazon page, they did not replyWent onto their website to support and left post there, received no replyThen sent their support an email, no reply from them

Works good but the laptop clips suck cause there not quality but do the trickAs for the stand it's good I move the platform daily and it's plenty strong
