I'm still learning how to use all the features of this watch but so far, after the first week, I'm very pleased with what I've learned so far. The watch is light weight compared to my other watches and the multiple faces provided are very nice. I think the battery life is excellent.

The Movado Connect 2.0 Smartwatch is a niche item aimed at being more of an upscale smart device vs a fitness tracker. When I unboxed the device I was impressed with the presentation. This watch looks and feels like an elegant piece of jewelry. I rather like that. While the Apple Watch, which I also own, ships with a fluoroelastomer band which looks ok with most casual wear but doesn't dress up well. The Movado Connect 2.0 plays well with formal attire and is perfectly at home in a business casual environment. The Movado Connect 2.0 is not an inexpensive item. As configured, it costs close to $700 dollars and the replacement bands are a couple of hundred dollars each. So I had to be very hard on it when review it.Pros:- This watch is striking! The look and feel of this watch screams of sophistication and craftsmanship. Out of the box, this is the Movado Connect 2.0 is the refined SmartWatch on the market- Cross OS compatibility. Movado claims this watch can work with both Android and iOS. For the most part, their claim is true, however, the functionality you get while on Android surpasses that you'd get on iOS.- Notifications, when connected to Android, are well executed and useful.Cons- Price. This watch is simply too expensive in relation to other entries on the market- Limited Watch Faces and Apps. At the time of this review, there were only 4 watch faces available for this watch. Similarly, I found the number of installable apps very scarce. Even Spotify was conspicuously missing as an application I could natively install on this watch.- Battery life. When I unboxed this watch the battery indicator went from 3% to 100% within an hour. However, taking the watch off the charger and attempting to use it with just an hour of charge saw the battery deplete rapidly. I promptly returned the watch to is proprietary charging pad and let it charge overnight. This allowed me to get a full day of usage out of the watch but this is a device that will need to be religiously charged daily.- Proprietary charging connection. I know every watch manufacturer is implementing its own magnetic charging mechanic but as a consumer, I would like to see a standard Qi wireless charging standard adopted across the board.- No native sleep tracking. Movado designed this watch to be an elegant Smart Watch vs an activity tracker which is why there is no native sleep tracking application on the device. I understand the company is fully embracing what they believe will be their niche audience but at this price point skimping on features is just not acceptable.- Water resistance. One major compromise with this SmartWatch is a lack of water resistance. Sure, it will likely survive an occasional splash of water, but torrential rains, persistent snows and water-based activities will end the life of this very expensive device. Meanwhile, there are dozens of other SmartWatches on the market that have far superior water resistance while providing similar functionality. Conclusion: This is an amazingly well-designed Smart Watch that will elevate any wardrobe. While it does work with iOS, this is unmistakably an Android Wear device and it's best used on the Android platform. When so used it becomes tasteful means of keeping time and staying current with your notifications. Unfortunately, too many compromises were made by Movado when putting this product together. Skimping on water resistance, native sleep tracking, watch faces and installable applications make this watch's steep price point a tough sell for most people. In my usage, this elegant timepiece is a secondary accessory that I only use a couple of times a month. It's not fit for the gym or my daily commute. In fact, I only use it when I am dressed to make a strong impression with a superior or a client. If it's in your budget to spend 700 bucks on an item that mostly works as a niche device - go for it. Most others will find a smartwatch marketplace saturated with other devices that offer more value for their dollar than the Movado Connect 2.0.

This is a beautiful watch and looks impressive on my arm. It is comfortable enough to wear all day with no problems. I am a little disappointed in the battery life as it will not last all day. I have an iPhone and the integration with it is very limited. I would only recommend this for android users. However, the killer problem for me is connectivity. I have to constantly reset the connection with my phone. This is so irritating I don’t want to use it. Hopefully this is an issue for only with the unit I received but I don’t know for sure.

The clasp broke during my third time wearing this watch. I contacted customer service and they were not helpful at all. I was told I needed to spend more money to ship it and have it looked at. This is a brand new watch! There is a reason Movado doesn’t list reviews on their website. Their quality is not good and neither is their customer service.
