I got these for my house in PR. We tend to lose power a lot and I love that I can still use them even when the poser goes out because they are solar. They look great and the cameras its self-look really nice. They were also easy to set up. You just need to download the app to your phone and connect.

The idea behind this design is a great one. Makes for a simple setup without having to run wires all over the house back to a central unit. The unit has a built in hard drive for storage which can be exported in several ways. Either direct USB flash drive or over the application on the phone. There is some delay when using hte phone and PTZ, but overall it's a good experience and good quality video.The biggest downside for me is that you have to make sure to buy the kit with the number of cameras you want or plan to get at the time of purchase. I reached out to the seller and they responded that they do not offer individual cameras for sell if you want to add more later. So even if you have an 8 channel receiver but initially ordered the one with 2 cameras, you're stuck unless you order a whole other kit just to get additional cameras.

Since these cameras come with a Hard drive unit that connects to the network I had hoped I could just connect to it over the network like a shared drive to access the videos. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. You can use the app on your phone and download videos, a few at a time, to watch on your phone. You can also watch live video in the app. Or you can dedicate a monitor to the camera system (it comes with a mouse) and view them directly on the unit. You can export videos but only to a USB drive not to the network. It functions as a stand alone system and only uses the network to connect to the cameras.The video quality is good and the people recognition works so you only record when people are there not when the wind blows something, if you turn that on. The IR illumination is bright enough to light up my entire back yard at night. It seems to have all the features I would want in a security system as long as I dedicate a display for it and use it to do my viewing instead of accessing files from my computer.

This is an impressive little system that has the ability to grow substantially. The package comes with 2 cameras but the NVR has 10 channels so there’s room for many more cameras. It also has a HDMI output for large monitors and it comes with a 500 g hard drive that’s expandable. You’re not locked in on a subscription or having only 2 cameras with this system. Setup is as easy as plug n play and the quality of the cameras is very good, with many bells and whistles. The supplied solar panels seem to have no difficulty keeping the internal battery charged and system functioning. The Movols Solar Security system is a great option to protect any house or business. Comes with 2 high end security cameras, 2 solar panels for camera power, and the NVR base station with 500Gb storage. Installation instructions are simple and easy to follow. Comes with all templates and hardware needed to install the cameras and solar panels. They also provide an app to be able to remotely view and set up the camera system if not using locally with a monitor. The cameras are extremely clear both during the day and at night with night vision. Many different setting options from recording for different motion settings or always record, sensitivity settings, spot lights, 2 way sound, etc. Cameras can be powered by solar, battery(will need to plug in to recharge), or can be hardwired. The cameras can easily be rotated in the app to view 355* side to side and 90* up and down. Overall a great value to protect your property!!

There is a lot to like about this system. It comes expertly packed with extensive instructions and accessories. The solar panels appear to be high quality and the cameras are well designed and very quality constructed. Make sure you have a sun facing direction as it will take a good part of the day to power up. Recommended for very sunny areas.
